Hello everybody!

I just wanted to say hi and thank everyone for posting on this forum. I only found out about this forum 5 days ago and I have been obsessed with it ever since. Knowing that there are lots of people waiting anxiously for an approval gives me so much comfort!! And see the happy people who just got their noa2 approval gives me hope and happiness, even though I am super jealous of them haha! 
I am from the Netherlands and my fiancé is in the navy. He is deployed right now and won't be back until May. This makes it a little easier for us to wait for the visa to get approved because we can't be together anyways. I can't wait until I can finally be with him again though. By the time I see him again it will be a year without seeing each other because of his deployment. So I just wanted to thank all of you for sending positive vibes through your messages on this forum. It makes me laugh!  Special thanks to @Naes , you are so helpful to everybody! ( I am sure there is a lot of good karma coming your way someday!)

Good luck to everybody who is waiting for that stupid piece of paper that will allow them to be with the love of their lives!

Yeah, you quoted me before I edited my post, with more proper answer  As, I said, most of them are just random.They probably need to have some quotas about it, so someone doesn't come up and say ''USCIS is giving out approvals like candies''

Oh, no, that wasn't my point, its just the fact that some people actually go with this like it is a game.Its one of the reasons, not a whole picture, but some people do actually do it, and thats why RFEs happen in those cases.Not all, of course.

There was a similar situation discussed recently in the July 2017 K1 thread.   It seems that the problem is that you have given reason for USCIS to suspect that you are already married, and the K1 requires that both the petitioner and beneficiary be unmarried.   The USCIS will likey consider you to be married if the social customs of your beneficiaries country consider you to be married.

 

In the case discussed in the July thread, the petitioner contacted the USCIS and was advised to convert the K1 to a K3.  I do not have the specifics, but thought I would alert you to the other thread in the chance that it may help you.   Look for the posting from "Karimbafi" and the follow-up discussions on the pages following;

Yep..running a double scan (actually more like a 1.5 scan as I only ran September till middle)
