Did it let you fill out the iv app

As we have said before, the DS-260 will not unlock until both fees show as paid. So you will have to wait till the paynebt goes through and it updates in ceac. They have to show as "paid".

NVC received our documents on the 9th, and we found this out by calling. I went to look at the status and it says IV fee not paid!! Payment cleared the account on August 2nd though, so idk what's going on :(

We just called and told them that it had showed paid earlier, and that we had managed to submit the DS-260, and the money had been deducted from our account. We were told that the fee was indeed paid. So idk what's going on with the status. LIke if it's not fixed i guess I won't be able to see any status updates if it's stuck at payment missing :/

13-Mar-18 - POE

27-Apr-18 - Green card received

13-Jan-20 - Mailed out I-751 packet

15-Jan-20 - NOA date

12-Feb-20 - Biometrics appt completed; Status: Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken

07-Oct-20 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

06-Jul-21 - Interview scheduled

Hello Everyone,

What does it mean if the NVC agent told me yesterday that my case was sent to review department 2 days ago? I asked to talk to a supervisor, he transferred me, the supervisor was really nice but not much of a help, she told me I still have to wait until the 11 weeks to be over. I am already 4 weeks in. My Scan Date: July 11th. Which was a second scan date after I received a Checklist on July 1st for 1 document: Police certificate. 1st scan date was May 8th.

It's been more than a year since we started this process, and it's so frustrating being so far from my wife! The only way we're meeting is in Mexico, which is 8000 miles away from where I live, Lebanon! and even now we can't meet in mexico anymore as her job (US Army) doesn't allow her to travel.

I really appreciate any input, information, or shared experience of how long would it take to get a CC after they say it was sent to review department (in line to review).

Thank you!

The best estimate is 9-11 weeks after your last scan. I don't think there is any significance to their statement about a case being sent to the review department.........I am speaking from experience.  We received a checklist on Jan 13th for a missing document.  We finally received the case complete email on April 10th.

Unfortunately the clock starts again when you submit the required documents from a checklist. It's not like being at the grocery store checkout and realizing you forgot milk and they hold your place while you run back and grab it. You go to the back of the line again and start waiting again. It's very frustrating but you're closer to the end than you are to the start. Keep the faith. It'll be over soon.

My wife and I pretty much had all the documents needed to send to NVC except for the Haiti police certificate.

My wife tried to get the certificate a month ago and was told that she needed a letter from the agency requesting that. The only thing that would have shown that a police certificate is required would be the NVC welcome letter.

We received that NVC letter about a week ago and now the agency in Haiti will be processing the police certificate for my wife. We have to wait about 2 weeks for them to do the background check on my wife before they can submit the police certificate.

When I called NVC, I received so many different responses concerning the police certificate, I decided to play it safe and wait for it. I initially was told by 3 agents that it was not needed and that it could be brought to the interview and then I was told by a few other agents that it was needed.

So after essential getting so much done in the first week following the USCIS approval, now we have to wait for a police certificate from Haiti, which unlike the vast majority of countries, expires in 3 months. That means, assuming we get the police certificate in 2 weeks, we may need to get another one if the interview goes past November.

While I wait for that, the other thing that is not clear is that on Visa Journey's page for the NVC process, it says to include Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number) with the IV package but I don't see such information on the Department of State website as part of the required documents to submit to NVC. However, it does say that the 2 photos must be brought to the interview.

Why the discrepancy?

Woke up from a nap checked my ceac account & there was the iv fee so i paid it checked my email and there was the email with the info & also stating to fill out the iv app but still doesnt let me do so

Your IV fee has to process and clear your bank before it lets you go to the next step. A rep at NVC told me 3-5 business days

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

Hello 😊

I think you're doing the right thing by waiting for the police certificate if it will help you avoid a checklist later or having to request it around the time or your interview if they decide they want your records. The good thing about police certificate is that generally they are good for up to a year with immigration, even though on the certificate itself it may say differently.

As for the passport photos, you have to submit them with NVC and then another set when you go to the interview. You may even need some when you do your medical, but I'm not sure if that varies by country. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong 😳)

Have you checked the reciprocity schedule for Haiti? It explains the documents you need during this process-I'll link it below in case you haven't seen it before

Thanks.

The site does give the following information. Haiti Police records are not required for initial application for an immigrant visa. When/if requested at the time of interview, police records may be obtained from the Central Bureau of the Judicial Police (Direction Centrale De la Police Judiciaire).

I thought about printing that information and sending it with the other documents to NVC. However, with all the uncertainty, I'll just wait one more week to get the certificate and then send it to NVC with all the other documents, including 2 passport-sized photos of my wife. Waiting one more week can potentially save 3 months since anything missing may start the process all over again. Being precise and patient is a key part of this process.

My wife will be visiting her sister in the neighboring Dominican Republic in September and so I will be going there for about 2 weeks with copies of everything, including phone logs, pictures, hotel reservation with our names, etc, in preparation for the interview.

Ooo that's wonderful! Don't forget to put your case number on everything so they can't say it's "missing"

I hope you all get a seamless cc with no delays!
