Malene1207! Your current legal name should be your married name if you officially changed it on your marriage cert. You will have to list your maiden name under other names used. However, be mindful to bring your marriage certificate in addition to your IDs to all future appointments and interviews. It will be required to verify identity.

Congrats on your marriage again! <3 <3 <3

Guys, to my horror today, I realized that we hadn't included the copies of our divorce certificates in our AOS package (we both we previously married). Somehow, I completely missed that they were required. Devastated and beating myself. What a stupid mistake and waste of time! Does anybody have an idea what happens in such cases? Does USCIS reject the application right away, or do they sent an RFE

Thanks in advance!

I don't know for sure but I would assume the RFE would come later. They don't typically go through your application before they send the NOA1, they just do a quick check to make sure everything is there. Can't be sure but I think you state you're divorced in the I-485? If that's the case - I would assume the RFE will come when a case officer picks up your case.

Thank you for a quick response. That would be the best scenario. We already have copies of our divorce certificates ready. Praying for USCIS to accept our petition and send RFE

That is for sure an RFE type of issue, they seldom reject a packet outright. This is doubly true for a packet that is 95% complete.
