@KeriAn Yep, they only interview on Thursdays here, so my dream date would be September 21th or 28th... Not later than October 5th in any case, because the next Thursday is a holiday in Spain and I don't want to wait past mid October. We'll see ;)

@mcs LOL, ask the consular officers how annoying I can be :P

I guess I try to be polite in my persistence and stubbornness, and that makes me less annoying.

Thanks for the nice words!

Day 148 - looking online I see that one case before and one after have have had a RFE, and some around our number have had NOA2, but we've still not had a single word.

So, I'm going to call and request a Tier 2 agent today. What should I make sure to ask? I will be asking if an agent has been assigned to our case, but from here I'm not too sure where to go?

Can anyone help me out please? :-)

You can track your case here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once the status says 'ready', your file has been transfered to London. You can then do steps 1-5 here: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

In the meantime, gather all your required documents i.e police certificate, passport pics, birth certificate, medical history, vaccine records, I-134, paychecks, W2s, letter from employer, new statement of intent (signed) and continued evidence of relationship ^_^

The process for every Embassy is different.  You'll want to jump into the appropriate VJ regional forum for your country and get more info there. :)

The embassy duplicates this number when it receives a case from the NVC and informs you about it...if information came faster from embassy , there is no need to track by NVC number  where the case is...and you can schedule the interview

Unfortunately, I made a mistake which is why I should refrain from commenting.

I should have said that sometimes it is asked for at the medical (Manila).  An interview appointment confirmation or a screenshot of the nvc number suffices if requested.

Finally done.

Hey everyone, How does the actual embassy appointment scheduling work typically? I know it varies but wondering how it works ballpark figure. Does the beneficiary typically get info in packet 3 and then call the embassy based on the info to schedule the appointment?

I think the most common thing happening is you can choose your own appointment online. When it's wgat varies. I need authorization via packet 4 after the Embassy reviews all my documents in packet 3. Others just have to gather the documents and take them to the interview.

In some cases the Embassy sets the date, via email mostly.

My fiancee got the documents today! So, no more worrying about them getting lost in the post! :) Now, we just patiently wait.... can't believe in only a few days we'll find out our interview appointment and schedule the medical. This is so crazy, and I'm flippen nervous, but extremely excited at the same time. I guess it's normal to fear the unthinkable, but more than likely we should get approved. I hope? *overthinking sucks*

Please what is in the Packet because we have not receive and packet yet thanks
