Yup! That's what they keep telling me! Hopefully that almost all of us from February will hear a decision and a positive one.

Your response to RFE also exceeded almost two week over the normal processing time. Did you send in an inquiry form and is it after that you're receiving a decision?  Did you go through a lawyer or on your own?If you don't mind me asking, what was your RFE for? Lastly,

Did you receive your letter?

And thanks for your comment. Although I **should** receive a decision sometimes in a few days, it makes me hopeful and it's nice to hear. Thank you for that.

-No inquiry.

-I had a lawyer file, but they didn't do anything besides file and translate.

-RFE was for lack of evidence (thank you to my lawyer).

-I got my letter (approved).

Hang in there. It should only be a few more days.

Just found an interesting site for anyone that likes to look at numbers and data.  This is from the USCIS and it shows all the applications they have received/approved/denied/pending broken down by quarter over the last several years:

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-all-uscis-application-and-petition-form-types

If you look at the latest one released you can see the drop off in approvals from the 1st to 2nd quarter, as we've all seen here, and how the backlog has grown.  In the first quarter they had 10,179 approved with a backlog of 15,746 for the I-129f.  By the second quarter, approvals dropped to 6,864 and the backlog grew to 20,082.  I believe the Fiscal years run from October-September that's why the 1st quarter 2017 ends December 31, 2016 and the 2nd quarter ends March 31, 2017.  That means the next quarter ended June 30, 2017 and I would think that data should be published soon.  I looked back at the 2016 data to see if the trend was similar and there is indeed a drop in the 2nd quarter of 2016 in terms of approvals and a growing back log but not as much as this year.  Just thought I'd share.

Hello!!!

We are trying to use this waiting time wisely and gather all the documents for the AOS. My interview is on Monday (ahhh), and we have a silly doubt, do they give you back your originals after the interview at the Embassy?

I saw this in the instructions, we sent a copy along with the originals... but just to have some feedback.

"Original documents will be returned to you if you have provided a copy after the visa interview with the consular officer."

Thanks a lot!!!

I thought your interview was on Tuesday, not Monday! The 19th? :D

I'm assuming they are giving us all the original documents back, as they state there in the instructions packet... I guess they only wanted to check the copies were accurate?

Good luck! I'm chasing you :P

Hello just an update on our case fiancée had her medical yesterday and there are no open spots for interview in October. She does not have her nib clearance from Phillipines yet and we were wondering if it's safe to schedule appt for interview for September the 25th even though documents are not ready and she leaves Taiwan on October 25th. The medical exam results will not be ready until the 29th. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Fiancée said she will have NBC clearance express shipped to Taiwan on the 20th of September after family received it in Phillipines.

Ok this is a bit confusing lets get some more information.

So your GF is living/working in Taiwan and she had a medical there already and now she wants to schedule an interview at the US Embassy in Taiwan on the 25th of Sept but she won't have the medical until the 29th?

If I have this correct then she would have the interview and assuming she is approved they would just not release the visa/passport until after they get and review the Medical report. You state she will have the NBI clearance in hand prior to the interview date on the 25th. I see no problems with this other than the delay in issuance of visa while embassy waits for medical. I guess there is a chance the embassy will turn her away if no medical at Embassy at time of interview. If I were in her shoes (mine are 9.5 LOL) I would CALL the US Embassy in Taiwan if she hasn't already to see about scheduling an interview later in October. I'm not familiar with the US Embassy in Taiwan so don't know if you are scheduling on-line appointment but seems on they have Sept but no October. It may be that all the October slots have not been release yet.

When you have her call she can tell them her situation.

Hope this helps.
