Here's my theory and that is all it is--a theory.

Obama had USCIS prioritize a certain filers. Maybe the DACAs, maybe others as well. He did this as soon as Trump won the election. Once Trump is inaugurated on the 20th, it will go back to normal, and we will begin to see movement on the K-1s again.

It looks like this person's case was reviewed on 11/28/16 - only 40 days after their I-129F was received.  That's not that bad.  I'd assume if they didn't have any RFE(s), they would have had their NOA2 in late November.

Because they had a request for evidence notice in November, that pushed their NOA2 several weeks into January 11, 2017.

If your case doesn't require any RFE(s), your NOA2 will be received faster.

Hope this helps ease some of your anxiousness. :)

It might be small comfort but, looking at the NOA1s from January, 2016 (the farthest back that Igor's List shows), it is about 60 days to NOA2, so we aren't a whole lot behind that.  I would be curious about the November, 2015 NOA1's -- does anyone know how to contact someone at VisaJourney.com to request a peek at that?

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=1&sortby=2

I know from personal experience November 2015  was taking 30 days on average.

You can search here on VJ  for "I-129F filers (input what ever month and year you want) then look at the various posters timelines or signatures to see how long it took.

That is the easiest way to find out other than using this VJ timeline search function.

NOA 2 from last January did not have the DACA issue that CSC has now.

According to VJ, the average time between NOA1 and NOA2 for November 2015 filers was 48 days for the CSC. You can search timelines and data here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/filterlist.php

Yes mine was about 28 days but come to think of it, it was earlier than some so 48 might be more of the average back then.

I Applied November 2015 approved December 2015 via NOA 2.

Not so lucky this time around.

The DACA theory makes sense although a non-profit lawyer that works in the field that I recently spoke to didn't think that what was happening.  Is possible to see and track the DACA cases at CSC?  Has anyone done this?  Are their casebers/ receipt numbers the same as ours?  Thanks!
