USCIS refuses to give out USPS tracking number(merged)

Our AOS was approved on September 12th and USCIS indicated that they mailed out my card this past Friday, September 16. We then received our approval/welcome letter on September 17th. To date we have not received our green card. Does it really take 5+ days for priority mail?

Priority mail can be more than 5 days. They can be slow. Seems like delays are common.

Ok so our AOS was approved on Monday September 12th and our green card was mailed out on September 16th. We have yet to receive our green card so we called USCIS twice. The first time we called and the lady said she did not have our tracking information and referred to to an immigration officer for an appraisal (the system said the wait time was 102 minutes and promised a call back which 3 hours later we have not gotten). We have called again and the guy flat out said he could not provide us a tracking number and to call back after 60 days if you do not receive your green card.

This is very frustrating why are they so obstinate about a simple USPS tracking number?

First wait for tier 2 to call you back and get the tracking then..

Secondly you are sounding very ungrateful.... your GC got approved be happy enough with that your card will come in time... there are hundreds and thousands of people who would kill to have there GC approved be grateful you got the approval

You may always want to take into consideration there is sevre flooding everywhere that may be causing delayed to your card being delivered

Calling USCIS twice for a 4-day thing sounds a bit of an overkill

There is a tracking number, but weirdly enough you won't get it until it's been delivered somewhere as the link will show up on the USCIS case status page.

With that said, bugging them won't do anything. The case status page should tell you that if you don't get your card a month from the date it was mailed THEN to bug them. They don't really care about your card until that month has passed.

Be patient. If it was mailed on a friday, it could easily take 5+ business days to get to you.

Hey guys! Finally, USPS delivered the Green Card today :)

Thank you all for supporting me and keeping me engaged in reading a mix bag of comments (nice, harsh, etc..).

VisaJourney made our lives really convenient and thank you all for being so helpful.

Why tell someone he sounds ungrateful. It is his card and as far as I know, he paid fees for his application to be processed. Impatient maybe, ungrateful? I dont think so.,

Strange thing happened with tracking that changed from "in transit to next facility" from dec 10th 2018 when it reached chicago hub to "label not created" today

Iv heard of cases where green card wasnt even sent...

On dec 17th i got email from uscis saying that they shipped the card on dec 7th and tracking number is unavalialble.

Filed a claim with usps but nothing.

Hmmm..

Anyone experienced anything similar?

 

tracking got  back to where it was in 30 mins but still showing the same
