ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! A CHECKLIST?!?!?!!?!

Dang it!!!! After nagging my hubby to death about making sure all and any forms he filled in were done properly and to check and double check, we received a checklist on Dec 22/14 because "I" forgot to put a date by one of the signatures!!!!

*smacks self in the forehead* DOH!!!!

Can't believe we have to wait another 60 days because I had a blonde moment! (no offence to blondes)

What's your scan date and how did you find out about the checklist?

I know its Really frustrating, dont be too hard On yourself, it actúally NVC that is so picky and annoying and make our life complicated. maybe you can talk to a supervisor about that. Its insignificant mistake to make you wait two whole months. Welcome to the club....NVC really stinks.!!!

Alright ladies and gentlemen...

So we have just received the great news that they have accepted our expedite request!! :secret:

We just received word today from our embassy and confirmed it with NVC. The NVC rep stated that all paperwork will head off (hopefully) by the end of this week. I have no clue what that means in terms of time line but that at least saves me big time with the job - let's hope they will wait until paperwork and everything goes by pretty quickly - now must do my research and find out the time line I'll be waiting until hubby gets the interview confirmed.

I can't thank everyone enough - I want to say that I did bust my butt and made sure all information and data was given before I submitted. I don't go down easy and I will try anything to save my family financial difficulties. Thank God is all I can say and can think about right now. I'm in shock to be honest and I don't even believe it myself.

...Anyone know how (average) time an approved expedite request gets sent over to the embassy? Going to go through time lines tomorrow to find a good average.

Thank you for everyone's prayers - I pray for everyone else out there waiting to hear back from NVC and patiently waiting to reconnect with their loved ones. (L)

I think they send the files pretty quick after Expedite so get ready I would say in two weeks but I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. :D :yes::dance:

Oh nooooooo...so sorry that you got a checklist...I know how it feels. We checked our form about 10 times each or more before we mailed them and still received a checklist. My husband is IT and is very precise about details and we stiiiillll got a checklist. It seems like it doesn't matter how hard you try to avoid errors...they can still be overlooked. I think it is like this.....you can not see the forest for the trees...the forest being the error. The harder we look for errors or missed boxs etc the easier it is to miss one. The forms really need to be overhauled and written in a way that is not confusing. The date thing can happen to any of us....and it does.

Dont beat yourself up about it....you cant change that it happened .

Solenta my dear you have no clue when or how prayers will be answered but they did - Thank goodness for perseverance and the strength to get through these roller coaster of emotions - I know all of us can relate to that sentence!!

OMG - That quick huh?? I must admit after the checklist let down in December I have halted organizing everything and now it seems like I'll need to catch up these two weeks to make up some time. Really ready to get through this last hurdle and thank you so much for showing the time line - this morning I've been checking up on timelines and it looks like most expedites are done (as Solenta said too) within 2 weeks

We just scheduled our medical next week (a whopping 750 CHF that has to be paid for in cash on the day!) so let's roll on. Prayers and Prayers and Prayers for everyone waiting and famous virtual hug for everyone!! Virtual-Hug.gif

Congratulations!

Apparently it is taking the NVC almost 60 days to respond to emails also. I just got a response to an email I sent on November 14th. They didn't even address the issue in the email. Smh...
