  1. Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone has received an interview appointment at the Abu Dhabi Embassy after recently getting their DQ. it would be great if someone would share their experience.
  2. I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!
  3. Hello All I thought I would make a Thread for Australian's who have their CASE COMPLETE at NVC and are waiting for an Interview to be scheduled at the US Consulate in Sydney! It might make it easy for us to keep in touch and update each other! I hope this is OK 🐨 We were DQ'd this morning so we will be waiting a while lol
  4. Hey guys. I copied Greenbaums intro to create a group for NOA2 for March 2021. Here you go: This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case on wards to your Embassy. Contained in the PDF below are many tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way. These are items that everyone asks for, so I thought I just post a PDF of them here for you to refer to when it's necessary. If you are new to this thread please read as these are most asked questions multiple times. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing
  5. When we filled the information for the police certificates we filled them out in Arabic. I read somewhere that we don’t need to translate documents if they’re in the language of the country where the US embassy were applying through is located. So I’m not sure if we should translate the police certificates before uploading them to the NVC or not. Did you guys need to translate them before uploading them?
  6. Hi everyone, My wife applied for my IR1/CR1 visa last year. Our current stage is, NVC cleared all the documents on Nov-12-2019, and said they are working with US Embassy Islamabad to schedule my visa interview. Its been 26 days now, but still I have not received any interview date from NVC/US Embassy Islamabad PK. Can you all please share your recent experience, what is the current interview wait times US Embassy Islamabad PK.?
  7. Hi everyone, My case was completed at the NVC 03/16/18 (over 70 days ago) and I am waiting for an interview date to be assigned at the Montreal Embassy. My visa category is EB-2. Is anyone in a similar situation (EB-2, Montreal) who can share their experience/wait time? This is taking much longer than anticipated. Thanks a lot!
  8. Hi all I am one of the accompanists of this case, which is the son of the principal applicant. After submitting all the civil documents, I cannot see my name on the list. But there is no message inside the message box? Is that a technical problem? Or is it anything doing wromg with my age? Thank you so much
  9. Good evening house, after a year of filing I 130 I was approved on the 29th of January 2021. I filed January of 2020 and I am now At NVC. I just finished uploading and submitting all documents that were required. I would love to know about how long does it take for nvc to review the documents. And when can I expect they call my husband for interview? Hubby is in Nigeria. I am filing as a USA citizen. We have 1 child together.
  10. I finally received my NOA1!! I know it's going to take months before I hear anything about NOA2. I read somewhere that it is recommended to start collecting documents for NVC. Can someone give me a list of all the documents please? Birth certificate Marriage license Police report and what else?
  11. My embassy just posted an update that they have resumed k1 visa interviews about a month ago and I’m still stuck at NVC. I called NVC to let them know and they said they still can’t send it because they haven’t received the “update” even though it’s written on their website and they also said they have different information. Please help guys. What can I do? I contacted my Embassy and they are saying they do not request cases, rather NVC is supposed to send them.
  12. HI, everyone. I am currently working on my wife's CR-1 visa and we are on NVC document submission phase. But we got stuck at the point when she needs to submit a police certificate (Canada), she studied in a program and lived in Canada from late 2017 to mid 2019. She is currently in Hong Kong and I am currently in USA. With the US-Canada border being closed, we have been in working one getting the police certificate for a few times, and unsure why they are all rejected / not accepted by NVC a few days after submitting on each of them. The last one (I have attached a exact same looking one I found from another post.) I submitted meets pretty much every single details, I think to the online guideline they provided. But still got rejected. So I called NVC, explain to them that we applied for the Certified Criminal Record Check from RCMP through a RCMP-approved partner agency (XL-ID Solutions in Montreal) by mailing, and they mailed the certified criminal record check back to my wife in HK, then we submitted it. Still is not being accepted. The NVC person on the phone said that since we are currently not in Canada and can not get into Canada, we can simply delete the attached document and select "Not Available" for the Police Certificate (Canada) section and submit the documents again. But he also mentioned that I still need the actual physical police certificate at the time of the interview, so I am not sure what would be my next step. Looking for helps from anyone! Sorry for the long passage and thank you very much for your time!! Police Available Fees: Varies by Province. Document Name: Certified Criminal Record Check. 13. My I-129f was approved and sent over to the NVC last month. This morning I woke up to an email from the NVC stating that they had received my case and given it a case number. However, the screwed up and assigned the case not only to the wrong consulate, but to the wrong country. They assigned the case to London, with a LND number, but my fiancee is a citizen of and lives in China. She was a student in London when we filed the petition but we put on the I-129f form that she will be doing her interview in Guangzhou, China. Is there a way to fix this error? Should I simply call them? Does anybody know what the turnaround time on that will be? I appreciate any advice.
  14. Hello. I'm in F2B category and have been contacted to submit documents. I can't find my birth certificate so I went to the National Population Commision to get another one. Rather than give me a birth certificate loke I requested, I was issued some kind of letter of attestation of birth with my passport photo attached and stamped, all with correct details. I'd like to know if anyone else has been in similar shoes and if the attestation of birth letter was accepted by the NVC.
  15. Hello! Quick question. I applied for a marriage-based greencard last summer and thankfully it is finally moving along in the process. USCIS has now forwarded at least part of the process over the the National Visa Center [NVC] who are now asking for the submission of: An I-864 Affidavit of Support Form Supporting I-864 Doc's Completion of a "Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application (DS-260)" through their website I think I know the answer to my question, but wanted to check anyways -- should I create a new I-864 form with fully up-to-date info in it, or should I send the NVC an I-864 form identical to the one I sent to USCIS last summer? For example, differences between the two would include a change of address. Also, one more quick question: would I need to report my 2020 Tax Year income if I haven't filed my 2020 taxes yet? Thanks for any help!
  16. Hello all! Hope to receive some help...First off, im petitioning my husband who is here in the US. He has an approved i601a waiver, on January 22nd we mailed our supporting documents for ds260 to NVC and last Friday we received an email saying they need the Police Certificate, because the one we sent they can not accept. (im including what the email says) ______10 - GUATEMALA POLICE CERTIFICATE:___________________________ We cannot accept the police certificate document you sent. You must send us the correct document so we can continue to process your case. To see the guidelines for your document, go to our website at nvc.state.gov/find. Select your country from the menu on the left side of the page. The next page will be your country's "Reciprocity Schedule." Click on "Police, Court, Prison Records" on the bottom. This will take you to a page with the exact requirements for the type of police certificate you must submit to NVC. We sent Antecedentes Penales and Antecedentes policiacos. We have a lawyer and they were sure everything was correct. We look at the website it shows and it says this... Police Certificates Available Fees: Free service Document Name: Antecedentes Issuing Authority: Ministerio Publico (Public Ministry) Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: White sheet with authentication code at the bottom. Issuing Authority Personnel Title: Minister of the Public Ministry Registration Criteria: See registration requirements here Procedure for Obtaining: Application is made online. The applicant may pick up the report in person or send a representative with a signed consent letter and a copy of the applicant’s identity document. Certified Copies Available: Certified copies are not available Alternate Documents: There are no alternate documents I went on the website and it's the Ministerio Publico de Guatemala. Has anyone else had to get this document from this institution? Our lawyer says its the first they here of this and from everyone else I hadn't seen NVC ask for this different document. Since my husband is here in the US he has a lawyer in Guatemala get his documents then he sends it to us here in the US. But even that lawyer has never heard of this. If any one has had this experience, I would really appreciate to hear from you all. Thanks and good luck to all!!
  17. Hello! So I just received our NOA2 - super exciting! But I just had a few questions on it, as well as about going forward. First, I know the timeline is that now it gets forwarded to the NVC. But on the NOA2 it just says it is being forwarded to the listed consulate. So, is it still being sent to the NVC? It just feels weird that they wouldn't put that on there, but I also don't know why they wouldn't send it to the NVC. Or is the NVC a consulate? I'm not entirely sure of the difference between an embassy and a consulate, so I suppose that is another question. Second, also kinda having to do with the thing above. It says it is being sent to the "listed consulate", but for the life of me I cannot find anything "listed" on the NOA2. Is it just talking about the consulate/embassy (if they are the same) that I listed on the petition? Thirdly, from here, is it just more waiting? On the timeline flow chart thing it states that you can contact the NVC after 2 weeks to see if they've gotten the petition, but on the NVC website It lists a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be done? Like creating an account, paying some fees, etc. I just would like to know the exact next few steps. And lastly, not really a question, but If anyone else is doing a fiancé visa from the UK to the US, I would love to hear how the process is/was for you.

  19. Hello everyone! Honestly I’m FRUSTRATED with Lagos embassy. They cite COVID as the reason they are not processing K1 visas but have been processing IR-1/CR-1 visas since late last year! We need to raise our voices and fight for our rights! We have been separated from our loved ones for far too long. It’s been a year for me and I’m still stuck at the NVC. You can’t talk to anyone at the embassy except the operator who is RUDE. And the emails just give you the standard automated response. Please who is with me? I’m so angry. What can we do? I know there’s a petition but there are less than 1000 signatures https://www.change.org/p/president-of-the-united-states-resume-k1-visa-processing-in-nigeria?redirect=false Does anyone have suggestions? Our love and relationships are not less important than others. We too desire to marry and begin our families!
  20. Hi, My wife(American) and I were DQd the 2nd of February 2021. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote to the Clinic in Amsterdam because (my mother) lost my vaccination record. They replied and told me what to do. They also told me when I wanted to book the visit. I was waiting to book the visit until I know the interview date (according to the instruction on the CEAC website). The Clinic, apparently, wrote to the Consulate and the Consulate wrote me: The Panel Physician/Clinic in Amsterdam has contacted us since they have sent several emails to you but they are receiving no response. Please let us know if you receive this email and if you wish to continue the processing of your immigrant visa. If yes, please contact the clinic directly in Amsterdam as soon as possible. I explained them the situation, but for what reason would they think that I want to renounce to the Visa? Also, they included my wife into the email. How can they know her email address? This means they are already in contact with the NVC, aren't they? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
  21. Hello, so I am the petitioner for my wife, she lives in Singapore. So far we have had a relatively smooth process to reach the NVC scheduling us an Interview. However, we are having one confusing issue. We got our Appointment letter and inside the letter it gives us a Time and Date for our Interview (March 3rd, 8.30AM). Then it gives us a link to a list of things to do: Step 1. Register online This process involves going to: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ Creating an account (if one doesn't already exists), and entering document delivery information like address and everything. Selecting a bunch of options and filling it all out. Well, eventually we get to a section called 'Appointment date', however, it says "There are no available appointment dates". But, do we need to select an appointment date? The NVC/Consulate of Singapore already assigned us March 3rd, 8.30AM in the Appointment letter. It is concerning that on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/, the dashboard says 'No appointment'. But the letter says a specific date... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. We became DQ yesterday, October 20! Does anyone have any idea how long it should take to have an interview scheduled at the London Embassy? Thanks!!
  23. Please direct me to a Thread for People Waiting on Green Card after Arrival. Thanks
  24. Hello everyone I would like to know if President Trump's executive order affects the processing of I130s by USCIS or it is only at the NVC that it is felt for the F2A visa category Thank you
  25. Hi All, I realize someone posted about having this issue back in January, but given all that's happened this year, I thought I might try again. The NVC has approved all of my Australian husband and I's documents, except for the National Police Check. They rejected our first upload October 20th, and it took nearly a month for my husband to get fingerprints done, mail them off, have them reviewed, and then a new PC mailed back to him. He uploaded a new National Police Check (Full Disclosure and matches exactly what the CEAC asked for) on November 18th, but they've rejected it again with no further explanation. Someone before had mentioned writing in the document comments that we did, in fact, upload exactly what was requested and available according to the Australian Federal Police (the issuing authority), but I wondered if anyone had luck with any other method? This is beyond devastating, really, and just feels incredibly helpless. What else can you do but follow the directions you're given?? **Note: We have an immigration attorney who is helping us, but she's not sure why this is happening either!
