New reality show about K1 visa (merged)

Seems totally unrealistic to me.

Maybe southern Thailand. They have special Muslim rules there.

Philippines has those rules for muslims to. And if your wife messes around on you, you get to have the whole village stone her to death. You need to live in the Muslim autonomous region to take advantage of the second one though.

Yup. While I'm intrigued and will probably watch the show, I cringe at the idea that this is what is being portrayed to Americans who don't understand the immigration process at all for K1.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone watching this will think they can file a petition for Fiance visa with no real affirmation of getting married. It gives the false presumption that you can decide whether or not you want to marry AFTER you have your visa and are already in the US.

But think of the money you will save in clothing them or fixing their teeth. Have you priced ESL classes lately? Sheesh.

Luckily I picked mine from a catalog that uses a good screening process, I haven't had any problems that weren't covered by their warranty. Knock on wood.

I saved on the ESL classes, her mother was an English teacher. Took care of the teeth before shipment was applied for.

Clothing and putting shoes on her feet has been an expense though, as apparently the closet must be filled to the ceiling with shoes before they can properly fit on the feet. And the clothing seems to have an issue with continuously getting too small, or disappearing into large boxes bound for overseas.

Drivers training was another expense. I thought the ability to drive in the original factory would save me that expense, but it turns out that only teaches them to break close to every rule we have in the good old USA. And apparently the ability to hear my instructions is hampered by a ring on the finger.

Return return shipment will need to be arranged when her brother the seaman's ship is in a USA port. I believe currently he's somewhere off the coast of Somalia, and has just been invited to spend some time on shore there.

network TV normally paints a negative picture of reality- and this show may not represent everyone's situation- but it seems interesting and I'm going to watch it!

Looks like the couples are very young, very naive, and expect everything to be perfect right out the gates... anyone want to start a pool on which of them are even going to make it to the wedding? (let alone their first Anniversary). No, I wouldn't watch this show if you paid me... it's not a documentary, it's 'reality tv' (ie. total crud.)
