A little over 2 months? I had to know whether it was real and I couldn't just let it go by if it was.

Met in person 4 months after we met online. Our in person meet was just over a month after we started dating. :) Been just over a year for us to be together as a couple. :D

'met' when we both joined a mutual interest website (non relationship or dating) around the same time early July 2001, got to know each other better through online chat starting early September 2002; developed romantic interests early February 2003; first met in person mid April 2003; became engaged late May 2003; married late June 2004.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

We met online in November 07 but did not meet in person until April 08 although I booked the flight in December. By the time we met it was as if we had known each other for years. People say things like, How can you marry someone you hardly know? etc. I think we actually got to know each other better by speaking every day online than we might have had we met in person sooner.

I agree with you we met May 11 and i went to see him April 12 but it felt so natural when i was there i wasnt nervous or anything.. it was like i have known him forever... now we are waiting for our K1 approval

We first met online June 22nd of 2009. We met for the first time July 6th, 2010.

We met the day I had Internet connected in my dorm room about a week and a half after I got to Ohio. We of course wanted to meet before that, but a combination of me having zero leave saved (I had taken a full month of leave en route to Ohio from Japan where I was stationed before), and a deployment that was supposed to happen but got cancelled the day before I was to leave in November (as well as me taking the only twelve days of leave I had to go visit my family beforehand), it had to get pushed back until I had sufficient leave and wasn't under the threat of getting yanked for a deployment. Also, she was in the middle of college classes and was dual-majoring, so we needed to wait for a long enough break period so we would both be free for each other.

But whoo boy did we make it memorable. We spent about three weeks together, and we traveled all over Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece. After that, we never waited that long. She came to visit me not five months later for Christmas and New Year's, and then I went right back to her that following summer, where I proposed to her, and then we got close to a year wait again, eleven months, before I finally went back and married her. In between that, we would talk almost every single day.

I remember when they enabled Facebook to be used at work. My coworkers were like, "So he'll be able to talk to her at work now? Well, there's goes our productivity for the year." :P

We met online February 2010 and met September 2010.

I knew he wasn't serious that time and he's even seeing other girls. I wasn't really serious that time as well been also chatting with other guys, but I guess when we saw each other in person during their port visit in PH he decided to pursue the relationship LOL.

Two weeks here. We met online, talked on the phone and then met up for coffee in Canada. It's easier for us as we live about an hour apart.

Met in a Vampire RPG game Oct 2011 - then it became group voice chats in Skype with other players ... I didn't like him much at the start as he seemed too nice and too friendly (I am a cynical suspicious Aussie - he's a very friendly Southern gentleman)

But we ended up as friends for several months, talked one on one daily - for hours and hours, and I flipped him to join another online game with me ..

By April 2012 we were able to tell each other our real feelings, and in August 2012 I came to Kentucky the first time to meet him and to meet other friends who live one town away from him (pure coincidence)

I came back in November 2012, got engaged in December, and married in January 2013.

Short outline: AWA affected our application
2012 - married US Citizen from tourist visa (unplanned)

2013 - First application for AOS by marriage - with an attorney but not one with AWA experience

2013 - First NOID - Got Psych report and as much evidence as possible sent off

2015 - Denied

2015 - Reapply for AOS - same attorney but we are better versed this time

2016 - NOID - new reports, fresh proof

2017 - Denied

2017 - Reapply 3rd time - yet more info provided

2018  - NOID - 3RD Psych assessment, at $3000 a pop

2021 - Denied

2021 - Reapply BUT with a change - we switch application from my husband as a sponsor to my eldest step-son and suddenly, no issues

2021 - RFE for Medical Exam only!
2024  Jan 13 - email from attorney to say we have finally been APPROVED
