The reason I made this pole is, some people are surprised when I tell them I waited one full year before meeting my wife in person. It worked out well for us. I know some people wait longer than that. It all depends on the people and the circumstances at the time I guess. If you haven't met yet feel free to elaborate.

Dang I knew my fiance' online for 10 years before we actually met. Although we were only 13 when we met online!!

More than a month I think :blush: . He was actually planning to go to the carribean for a vacation the first week we met online. Then I joked why not come in the Philippines instead, and then he did.

I had a vacation anyways and booked plane tickets some weeks after meeting online. We met IRL a month after meeting online.

Completely agree with Rebecca Jo. I would've despised myself for putting someone up on a pedestal if there were some issues IRL that would've been "disguised" online. Spending 24/7 together online isn't a guarantee that things will work out when meeting or visiting.

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

3/19/12 - NVC received - no case # yet
4/3/12 - Case number received!
4/4/12 - Paid AOS bill (in process) and completed DS-261 Agent form / also emailed request to transfer to Beirut, Lebanon for interview
4/5/12 - AOS bill shows paid!
4/6/12 - emailed I-864ez and tax info
4/9/12 - (rec. confirmation email)I-864 and tax documents received by NVC / request to transfer embassy denied
