After a few months of knowing about each other on an online forum... he sent me a message. From that moment, we spoke every night on the phone for 3 weeks until he finally came up to Canada and swept me off my feet! (L)

Reading these stories is so sweet, especially with active posters who are still together after all this time :)

We met on Instagram in 2014, and started talking in the comments of a really awful photo I took of a sunset (it really sucks but I can't delete it because of the memories) and after continuing to talk for a few months in the direct messaging, we became a couple  When I finished my then sophomore year of college, I flew over to visit her. Took around 7 months from start to visit! This February it'll have been two years already!!

I met my ex-husband in an online game. We met after about 8 months and got married after a year since we met online. Got divorced shortly after our 5th anniversary.

My husband and I met online through a dating website specifically for our religion. We met after 9 days and got married one and a half months after we met in person.

Met online and talked for 3 months before he flew to the Philippines. Good thing that there were no awkward moments when he got there. :)

In the vote, I labeled our timeline as 12 months. But in reality, we met 1 year and 6 months in person after the initial first contact online. Couldn't choose in between 12 or 24 month mark option :'D

which is why i would never, in a million years get involved with someone too far away. canada is bad enough with him coming down here every 3 weeks and us living on the bluetooth the rest of the time. even the 3 weeks is getting harder and harder. least we finally got our paperwork filed. light at the end of the tunnel and all that lol
