Count me in!

Sent the envelope today. It will get there on Friday since I am already in SO CAL :)

I was eligible to file on March 17th but we moved and I started a new job so it took me forever to finally put together the package. A piece of cake in comparison to AOS!

Here is my list:

• Copy of our joint tax statement for 2010 and 2011

• Copy of our health insurance benefits summary showing a joint policy

• Copy of my husband’s life insurance statement showing myself as the beneficiary

• Copy of the registration of our car, showing joint ownership

• Copy of the lease we signed for our new place where we moved to in February 2012

• Copy of our rental deposit receipt showing joint residence at the new address

• Copy of a notice from our property manager showing joint residence at the new address

• Copy of the security deposit disposition letter from our previous landlord, showing the new joint address

• Copy of our car insurance cards, showing joint policy and also the new address to which we moved in February 2012

• Copy of various bills/statements in my husband’s name showing previous address

• Copy of various bills/statements in my name showing previous address (and matching my husband’s)

• Copy of various bills/statements in my husband’s name showing new address

• Copy of various bills/statements in my name showing new address (and matching my husband’s)

• Copy of our joint credit card from Chase bank

• Copy of our airline reservations for the latest vacation that we took this past February to New Zealand.

We were supposed to be March filers, but I'm not done getting everything together yet! I'm in grad school and a full time teacher, so my things that have actual deadlines have been getting more notice than the application! I plan on sending it off by the end of this week though. So count me in as an April filer! (our 90 day window opened March 24th)

I had also planned on being a March filer, but my Teaching work also got in the way. Thankfully, I have this week off, so I plan on taking care of this paperwork right away. Good to see a familiar face!

Check cashed -- wuhoo! kicking.gif Next -- NOA1.

Just happy the check was cashed before we start doing more spend on our joint account for our monthly groceries, because we tend to deplete our checking account after grocery shopping. tongue.gif Then again, coincidentally -- our tax refund just came in yesterday.

Based from what I read from the USCIS guidelines for sending packets (I lost the link but I read it 10 times lol laughing.gif), a Manila envelope is fine, just make sure it is labeled with the A#, and the name of the form and type of submission (e.g. ORIGINAL SUBMISSION: I-751 PETITION FOR REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS...). They prefer the file attached at the top part with ACCO fasteners, and if you want to place tabs, they prefer it tabbed at the bottom. Anyway, that's what I did.

For multiple applications (for kids, etc), each packet should be bound separately by a rubber band.

Basically, there's no set guidelines on how they want it fastened, but they state that if you prefer to bind it, make sure the binding is easily taken out for them to easily file their own way.

One thing I kept in mind is that, if I were an IO, and I am super busy, what type of application would I prefer that would definitely make my life easier?

Does anyone know what folders is best to sent it in, I heard it was ACCO at home Depot?
