I didn't send affirmation letters or affidavits on my packet, but I think the letter should have wording from family and friends that they know you, and that you and your spouse reside in the same address -- basically proof of cohabitation from a 3rd party. Some people submit formal, notarized affidavits. I just didn't want to go that route just yet, unless they ask for an RFE. I just believed what we have is enough proof (e.g. joint tax returns, joint bank statements, joint apartment leases, joint car loan/insurance/title, joint health insurance -- anything "joint"). tongue_ss.gif

Well,does anyone send "Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since yor conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship" as a part of the evidence? We got two letters from family and friend, but the letters did not affirm. Is it ok to send them as evidence too?

Check cashed today! that was FAST! They got my package on Friday and cashed the check today, Tuesday!

Still no NOA in the mail though...I was excited to find it when I came home today but nada <_<

Oh well I am excited they are moving quickly, at least for now! :dance:

Congrats!! I only JUST got my cheque cashed yesterday... UGH! I'm not normally one to panic but seeing all the other updates had me curious that I'd done something wrong (that and my cheque name is maiden, i sign in married and my handwriting wasn't the best). They received it on the 6th (Friday) and cheque cashed 10th (Tuesday) so not really too bad but it FELT like a million years!! I don't think I've ever been so happy to see $590 to vanish from my bank account (although AOS was fabulous too :D)

Guys,

now I'm going to move in June from Wisconsin to New Jersey. I stated that in my cover letter. Do you think this might delay the process? Especially as New Jersey's applicants should send their petitions to Vermont while Wisconsin residents send to Cali. I got a job in NJ that will start in June, so at least I need an evidence of employment authorization ASAP to finish the papers for the new job!

Any input would be very appreciated :)

HEY GUYS... Im back lol

OK so I should have sent off my file this past Monday, however I had delays with my Taxes and school so Im all off ugh. So anyways, Im intending on filing on Monday or Tuesday but I have an unconventional question:

  • moved a few months back and my checks still have that old address on it, should I still use them for payment seeing that my account number and routing numbers are what's needed for payment processing anyways or should I wait for my new checks to arrive?

You can update address on your check by hand.
