This is the best thread I have seen in the last 6 months!!

Seriously, did you think your Visa process was going to be given quickly?

I told my fiancee to get ready for at least a one year journey! That was giving all the ####### that I have seen and heard here.

Maybe some of you should have read about all the Visa ####### that goes on everyday?!!! We have adjusted fine. It is fun for us to talk about the drama and laugh at how long it takes. Maybe some of you need to relax.

I didn't check anything till 4 months or more. If you do not have the time or patience for the visa...you should figure out what you want. Its not going to happen the next day!!

Prepare your fiancee...or wife or husband. Let them know its going to be a journey. It could be a long one. If you truly love her or him.....Its going to be worth it!

Good Luck

I understand your point, but how about trying to encourage people instead of tearing them down?

Once again and for the last time. I am not tearing anyone down with what I wrote. Again, I am not telling anyone to be sad or not to miss their sweetheart. I AM SAYING RELAX/CHILL/TAKE A DEEP BREATH. Funny how people feel so attacked and overlook what I'm actually getting at. Everyone knew what they got themselves into. And I do believe that everyone would feel a lot better if they took a step back and just accepted the situation for what it is. I have also said once that it seemed like the officers at VSC all went on a vacation. It is difficult to wait especially without knowing anything but it's the fact right in front of us and we can't do anything about it.

I'll tale that into offense, because on VJ i ventedd out a lot. It keep me from calling USCIS and screaming at someone. Which I know would have gotten me no where. So vented out on this forum. How do you cope with being apart from him for so long. It might be easier for ...well theres lots of things I could of saying but Im nice and won't. But what keeps you sane?

It is called the (www) world wide web for a reason.... On this site, you will crossed the path of many individuals, from many different cultures. Yes, my purpose for interacting on this site was information on the process of a K1 visa... As I have shared my experiences and (little) knowledge in the process, I found many very interesting people.... People that I enjoy interacting with.... Yes, the process is long and we must remember that this process is a major turning point in some lives...so we should expect some emotions sometimes....We all share the same goal....that is why we are here.... someone garbage could be another man treasury.

...so whats a point complaining about people complaining.

While it might seem as "acting like big babies" people do share their experiences good or not about contacting uscis, senators, nvc etc.

Honestly, if back in times when i filed I havent seen tht it takes on average 3 months for NOA2, I would stay in states with my man, filed AOS, done !

So take it as precaution people entering VJ can see what it takes/ how long/ at what expense.

If you can stay all that cool  great, I respect you for your steel nerves.

As someone earlier stated, it's healthiest to accept the process as a 8-9 month wait. It could be longer or shorter. Those for whom it's longer I do admire for their patience. I don't mind people using this forum to vent, but if it gets personal that's a different story. This site offers many things, but most importantly it helps us all to remain sane. The waiting is so difficult. It helps to know you're not the only person going through this stuff.
