Trump’s administration definitely has made it harder when it comes to visas, luckily he isn’t concerned with the k-1. Otherwise things would have been even harder

Something odd happened because my case was received by them on the date of 10/20 and today I checked and it says it was received on 10/17 !! Now that does not make sense!!! Did this happened to anyone?

Sometimes weird stuff happens but I'll check tomorrow

I was on the https://rapidvisa.com/ website. I was looking at the estimated process time for k-1 and it says the "Embassy Phase" takes 1-3 months is that true? Thanks!

So grateful for that... I mean, can anyone say Melania? however, I still feel that although it is not an outright assault on our process, we have still been affected (effected?). I also worry about the future. Immigration is now a part of my life, I am connected to another country. I worry about things like bringing over my fiancé's son or with all this chain migration stuff, what about his mom? Who knows what we may need to do in the future regarding immigration. I have to stop worrying about it though... I'm just borrowing trouble at this point. Im grateful to live in a country like the United States where we can have hope for 2020!

And hopefully since they don’t have many federal holidays coming up, the times will become less and the process will speed up- if we’re lucky !!

Next Federal holiday is February 19.  Let's hope they get a lot done before that.

I hope/think that they will, that’s an entire month for them to crack down on it.

I was looking back at my I-129f hard copy that my lawyer gave me back in October. I just realized there is an error.. ): for the "Province" my lawyer put BIN instead of BIH. He misspelled it by one letter. Should I just let it be and wait for them to notice? Thanks?

Keep in mind it depends on which embassy. Some are known for being a lot faster than others. I've heard the Philippines is very quick. My fiance has to use the London US embassy. I think they're pretty efficient as well.
