Actually all the government computers have been hacked giving someone access to all the government knows about us

and with all the information including birth certificates, SS #, bank information, etc I have given to immigration, I feel the government should allow us new identitys including SS #. I have started getting phone calls that say they are from my cell phone.

Well, there's some good news for people still at the petition stage...

"

Now, with the legal fight stretching on, DHS has decided to use the Crystal City edifice as a general service center for all citizenship and immigration services programs not blocked by the federal injunction, officials said Wednesday.

Shin Inouye, a spokesman for Citizenship and Immigration Services, said the new Potomac Service Center will house about 750 employees and will supplement existing service centers in California, Texas, Nebraska and Vermont that are at “maximum capacity.” Citizenship and Immigration Services is central to managing the nation’s immigration system and processes more than 6 million citizenship and other applications and petitions each year.

The new facility, expected to begin operating by late August, is not open to the public. Officials said they are now proceeding with hiring for the center, which will be funded through fees collected from immigrants who file applications."

Still awful about the visa printing issue. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

Man, my wife was approved on May 21st and they said to wait about a week to pick up the visa. We're now here on June 13th and we finally have a reason why nothing has happened since the interview. Our case status remains ready for the interview we already completed. And the embassy won't respond to my emails. This is very frustrating, but we'll keep our fingers crossed that this problem gets resolved soon so we may finally go home!

My husband just received his citizenship, and he must file for a new passport. You stated even passports are delayed. Would this mean his passport also? He has not filed for it yet, but was going to this week. Are we speaking of even (new) United States Citizens getting visa's and passports also? I am just not sure where he would fit into all of this.

I just felt our members should know what ABC news, is reporting, which is a liberal, but very reliable source of news.

Because right-wing media is, and has always been, very reliable *cough*fauxnews*cough*

Either way, the hack sounds really bad.

Yes. It is everything to do with the State Department.

"I also firmly disagree that ABC news is a "right leaning" network. Fox is the only network that leans to

the right, in fact, considered conservative, or a right wing, network.

Watch the Sunday morning news programs, "This week with George Stephanopoulos".,.,., is a "right leaning" news reporting program? I "beg your pardon!" This was the Clinton's "boy."

For the record:

1. FAUX News is not "news." It's entertainment. Just ask Bill O'Reilly.

2. FAUX News leans so far to the right that you can't see it from the center.

3. Clinton was a centrist at best. So was Stephanopoulos.

4. ABC fell hook, line, and sinker for the Bush Administration's lies that resulted in the Iraq tragedy.

Amazingly, there are still people who think that what they're getting on FOX is news.

Anyone have any predictions on when it could be resolved? If it's less serious than last year, is there ANY hope to be fixed within the week?

This just could ruin so much for us. It's literally more heartbreaking than waiting for that noa2. It's like punishment on top of punishment.

Guys, can we cut the political banter and criticisms? There are both liberals and conservatives (and those who are neither) on this site; there's no need to slander either side on this particular forum. Even though the OP started the political chatter, let's make this forum about the issues with the DOS, shall we?

To the post above mine.. I doubt that the consulates have any idea. Ours didn't. Where'd yours get that information?

So..... I went home to check the mail and I got a not so wonderful surprise in the mail. A letter from the Department of Homeland Security saying my information has been compromised. But the odd thing is, I haven't filed anything recently. He filed for his citizenship this past February, but the letter came in my name. The letter is a copy and not on official letterhead. So I am not sure of its authenticity. It also wanting me to call to sign up for a free program to protect my identity. well..... I WAS going to attach a copy.. but I can't figure out how... grrrrrrrr

Be cautious of this. If anything go to an official source to find out if it's legit.
