Two of my friends got their visas (F1) after being accepted into a PhD program. It was very easy for them. So there must be another reason other than her beauty.

It may have more to do with the school, immigration is cracking down on a group of "schools" here in Los Angeles that are fronts for immigration fraud. I know 2-3 of them where in Hollywood and like this one had more about international student visas than accreditation ( in fact this one doesn't claim to be accredited ) When they visited the schools they hit they found less than 5 students at most with hundred registered. If your friend is serious try a more well know school. When I was going to college there was a state college across town that was known as a music school , Potsdam State in New York.

As for my calm..She's a yoga instructor so when she gets to the US, she'll help me with that lol instead of us hanging out in countries outside of the US.

So she is a yoga instructor, classically trained in violin, a model, with a 'friend' in the US., no real great work history, no property in Romania, and no other apparent ties to her home country.

I certainly hope you can now see how her 'beauty' had little to do with her denial. Moving forward, stop blaming everyone. Enough talk of suing the government or hiring a lawyer, if you really want this girl here, and it sounds like she is much more than your friend, then start focusing on that, or meeting in a third country.

I'm curious that the OP is mentioning that she is waiting for the ability to use the VWP. You do know that's only a 90 day stay right? She can't be modeling, teaching yoga, or playing the violin for hire. Nor can she be studying either. So... how will the VWP help her except for a short visit?

When a new country joins the VWP do all their citizens get a clean slate when it comes to being asked if they've ever been denied a visa?

It would seem unfair to me that people could have trouble using the VWP if their only crime had been not being able to convince a CO enough to grant them a B2 before the VWP status had been granted.

ESTA asks if you have been refused a visa, does not follow that saying yes will not allow you to use the VWP.

Not that I would expect Romania to be a VWP country anytime soon.

I honestly have no idea, but I thought she was applying for an F-1, so VWP... wouldn't work for that anyway, right?

I got my first F-1 at the age of 19 with no job and no property in Romania (duh, what do you expect from a 19-year old?). How likely is it that someone going to college in the US isn't going to want/be able to start a life there? I bet the officers know this too.

So it probably does have more to do with the school/other weird circumstances we don't know about.

I'm also quite curious why you're bringing this up now, after so much time has passed. Troll much?
