Go to the interview as scheduled, they hold off on issuing a visa until the medical is received.  This is not an uncommon occurrence.

Spousal visa interviews for Mexico cases are only conducted at the Consulate in Juarez.  You did fill out the form in error; however, it will be overlooked as the file will ultimately be routed to Juarez.

Such affidavits carry little to zero weight in the overall evaluation of a file.  What your focus should be is evidence of time spent together in-person, that is your strongest evidence.

    Answers:
You only need to pay the I-864 fee once, you can submit as many forms as required for what your specific case demands without having to pay the fee each time I-864EZ is not for you.

Just a note to clarify sonething that can lead to confusion.  NVC does not approve documents that are submitted; they have no role in determining if documents meets all requurements or not.  They basically only serve a clerical function for document collection, to ensure that all required forms are completed and something is submitted for each required document.  For official documents needed (e.g., birth, marriage, divorce, or death certificates), they do check to see that the document is the correct type, issuued by the correct authority.  When something like a letter saying it is not possible to get a specific document is submitted, they basically "accept" that this is what you are submitting in lieu of the required document.  This allows your case to move forward to the embassy/consulate for interview, where the consular officer determines, as part of the adjudication process, whether all the documents submitted meet the legal requirements.

Ugg!  Where to start??  I guess I'll keep it short.  The above is MOSTLY over-reaction, in my opinion.  60 is old age in the USA?  Nonsense.  He can't even draw Social Security yet.  The current and last US Presidents are in their 70's.  Yes, you CAN do the things suggested, but that does NOT mean they are all necessary.

My suggestion would be to provide a letter from you explaining the evolution of your relationship, just like you did here, but with some more about how the relationship developed and WHY...YOU...wanted to marry him.

You may face some tough questions but the fact that your family approves now and is involved, will go a long way.

Yes, your attorney should have provided evidence of relationship up front, but you can provide it at NVC too.  Your best evidence seems to have not existed until after you filed.
