  1. You have wasted 17 months so not sure I understand the reasoning.
  2. Agree with the meet a few times, marry and then go the I 130 route.
  3. Assuming we are talking about the House you live in and the car you drive they can not be used anyway. Simplest and safest solution is to use a well qualified Joint Sponsor.
  4. I did not think NVC had a number you can use, or is that old information?
  5. That is nice that they keep in touch. I had sort of assumed it might be higher than the general population but am not aware of any numbers, just seemed logical.
  6. If you could offer a Divorce service with a similar timeline you could make a fortune.
  7. If he files to adjust he does not need an appointment in his home country.
  8. We do not know the Country, for most assuming he is in status he could file to adjust now. Usually a more logical approach.
  9. He is maybe a few years away, so if he wants to stay meanwhile then he needs to keep in student status.
  10. I know there have been a few, not many, the one I also remember was referred to London but I think there were a few complications.
  11. You are moving to California and you have already petitioned them
  12. If you have been out for 10 years and can substantiate it then you can see admission into the US.
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov/07/german-chancellor-olaf-scholz-agrees-historic-stricter-migration-policy Stricter measures to deal with a large number of migrants arriving in Germany have been agreed by the chancellor, Olaf Scholz, and state leaders, as NGOs criticised Italy’s plans to create centres in Albania to accommodate asylum seekers. After a marathon session of talks in Berlin that continued into the early hours of Tuesday, Scholz said the measures would help speed up asylum procedures, restrict social benefits for migrants, and provide more federal funding for local communities. A bleary-eyed Scholz said the decisions amounted to a “historic moment” for the country, even as members of the Greens, part of the coalition government, said that cutting social benefits equated to letting asylum seekers live in poverty. A large sum of money says this is bluster, a bit like Italy and Albania.
  14. A worrying lack of Diversity, something happening?
  15. New Mexico does not waive the 5 year Residency requirement for new immigrants for Medicaid. Big caveat is that whatever the rules are now they could change in 2 years. And you would hope they will live long and prosper.
  16. One of the documents you will file is the I 864, an agreement for you to financially sponsor them. Medical Insurance etc varies a lot by the State they will be living in, now most people of that sort of age will be on Medicare. Under current rules they will have to wait for 5 years before they can buy in, as they have not contributed to the system they will not get the basic element for free. Normally the intermediate option is through the ACA, buy through the State exchange, so that varies significantly. Any Insurance they can access obviously does not cover everything, one of the big issues can be long term care.
