  1. I tried to go the marriage and spousal visa route. We were set on it but for some reason she started getting anxious about going to America on a tourist visa and getting married. So she decided she wanted to do the K-1. I tried talking her out of it but she doesn't want to risk it. Anyways regarding pay, all I have to do is stick that form in along with the i-129f and mail it right? I don't have to go online somewhere to pay?
  2. Thats what I want but the fiance changed her mind and is now set on doing it this way.
  3. The site shows how to prepare the money, in my case I filled out the form so I can pay with my card and put my card info on the form. Is that all I need to do? Just put that form in the envelope with the i-129f and then mail it? Or is there an online place that I need to go to pay? Thanks in advance
  4. That is great to hear. I hope others see this and give their feedback too.
  5. Most likely stay in Japan so she can keep working and saving money. So you don't see any issues with us getting married when she visits this winter on a touring visa?
  6. So quick update, I am back in America and my fiance did get the visitor visa. She is coming in the winter. We are thinking about just getting married when she visits and then do the I-130. Would this be alright?
  7. I am seeing on the site that marriage licenses expire 32 days after getting it? Also are we required to have a wedding? We are planning to have the wedding May of next year.
  8. Her interview is in September so she can visit for a week in December. It seems the consensus is to do the Utah marriage now and then do the I-130 instead. What documents do we need to prepare for the Utah marriage?
  9. Unless I find a job in the next 2 weeks, I have to leave Japan by the end of July. She is in the process of getting a tourist visa so we can spend winter together in Florida. During her time here we want to register for marriage and then she would go back to Japan while I continue getting the place ready and doing the paperwork. Would there be any issues? Also would Utah online marriage work if we do not live in Utah? We are planning for Florida since my family is there.
  10. Thank you for sharing this, but we are not married yet. We are trying to figure out if we need to marry here in Japan, or go to America and register our marriage there.
  11. We are unsure how to go about doing this. My department was let go at the end of 2022 and since I have not been able to find work, I have to go back to America. I am engaged with a Vietnamese girl who wants to go with me. Should we register our marriage in Japan or wait until she visits America and then register it in America? How do I go about getting the correct documents submitted for her? Thanks in advance.
