    Daft question I know, but I'm assuming you've done as the consulate requests on their website and tried the following? "Please use the web form at https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/visas/immigrant-visas/immigrant-visa-unit-question/ to request for rescheduling." Also, they say to use US Travel Docs website, not US Visa Scheduling? Not all consulates have transferred to US Visa Scheduling yet.

    Good spot. For an expedite doesn't that need to be for the USC as well though? So if it's the beneficiaries job, would that count as a reason?

    OK. There was a case at the court of appeals that addressed this that I was thinking of, but it's not relevant to GA residents. Have you submitted your DS-260 etc?

    I agree with the above, you're really risking your status and I don't understand why you've been out of the US for another 6 months when you've already been told you're cutting it fine. What evidence do you have that the US is your permanent home?

    Which consulate? DCF would have been the way to go, but if you've already filed the I-130 that ship has sailed now.

    You both have F2-A on your profiles, is that right? If so your PD’s aren’t current yet and so there’s no visa available anyway. Or is yours an IR5 case @wheondo?

    Do you not have lawyers via your employer helping you with all of this? You say you submitted the L1 extension but presumably you mean your employer did? It's not something you can apply for yourself, they must submit the I-129. You can file for your EB2 now, you don't need a job or to even be working in the US to do so. Probably no point in applying for premium processing for the EB2 as there's quite a wait for it under the Visa Bulletin so it could be wasted money. Definitely send it via courier next time!     Those that applied in 2008 still aren't eligible for visas though, the date on Table A is August 2007, so maybe 4 or 5 years before your mother gets her visa? If you have aged out (or will age out), then another option is for your mother to petition for you once she's got her GC and is living in the US. That'll be another decade or so from when she applies, but is at least a solid Plan B. Good luck.

    The only way to fix that would be to increase staff, which would mean hugely increasing visa fees. I'm not sure many people would want that.

    I've kept my UK number, and have my US number too, both on the same cell phone (US number is an eSIM). Easy to do and important if he'll be keeping things like UK bank accounts or filing UK tax returns, as often they text a number for verification.

    I was asked about employment, but I did have a job offer. It's not needed for EB1A though. I would take proof of funds with you just in case. I don't know about Luxembourg but it's far more expensive here than the UK, so bring plenty of cash whatever you do!

    There's no dropbox for B visas, she has to follow the usual process. The wait for a B visa interview is about a year so make sure she applies well before her current visa expires.

    Once married a spouse visa is their only option anyway. Figure about 2-3 years for a spouse visa in Pakistan as a rough guide.

    OK, so you lived together before you moved in 2023? So that would be the date I'd put, you visiting the Philippines for a wedding wouldn't count as cohabiting.

    OK. I'd say chances are slim but she has more chance than if it was your wife (as I originally thought) IMO - as a spouse could adjust status but a sibling can't. So all she can do is try. Good luck.

    Ah. Does she have a spouse and/or children? If so, she can take proof of them too to show she has to return, if asked.
