  1. Fab. So hopefully now that’s all they need and you’ll be DQ’ed in a couple of weeks. Have you paid the fees and completed the DS-260?
  2. Afraid I’ve no idea on the requirements for tax returns etc as mine was an employment based app so I didn’t need any of that. But have you had an email telling you you’re documentarily complete, that your file is being transferred to London and that you’ll be scheduled for an interview? That’s the DQ email. Just checking, but you’ve paid the fees and completed the DS-260? What does your actual CEAC status say?
  3. So you haven’t actually been DQ’ed then, you need to submit what they’re asking for and then hopefully you’ll get DQ’ed (you’ll get an email when you are). Then it’ll be 2-3 months from that point to interview.
  4. It's about 2-3 months for an interview at London at the moment, it's one of the quickest consulates. I'm surprised you haven't had an interview letter yet though, are you sure you've been DQ'ed? If you were DQ'ed on 19th Sept I'd have expected you to get an IL in October for an interview in November. What does your status say on CEAC?
  5. If you look at the stats, Brazil is issuing far more EB visas each month than other consulates and even other visa categories. 326 EB-2's issued last month, versus only 52 CR1/IR1's (spousal visas). So they're prioritising EB visas over others and clearing trying to catch up. Hopefully it won't take long at that rate until you get your IL, good luck, hope you hear soon.
  6. If you click on A031's username, you'll see their previous posts and timeline, which in turn will show you they received their visa in October. HTH.
  7. December's VB is out. Bad news….the date hasn't changed again for your category. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-december-2023.html
  8. Exactly. A refugee passport would be something different, perhaps the OP just isn't clear on the details but it may be relevant as if he genuinely couldn't go to the US that may help their case (although it still wouldn't overcome her not travelling to him, not sure the medical reasons would count personally).
  9. That's for stateless people though, if he has a refugee passport (travel doc) as the OP said then he can apply for a B visa to travel to the US. Bottom line is that I don't think it makes enough of a difference, but if he could have travelled to the US then there's definitely going to be no exemption made for the meeting in person requirement. As everybody has said above, looks like OP needs to start from scratch and they need to meet.
  10. Why do you think your fiancé can’t travel to the US with his refugee passport? Surely any country that’s a signatory to the Geneva Refugee Convention (of which the US is one) should accept it for entry?
  11. No, unfortunately it doesn't work like that, it was the same date last month too, it hasn't changed. It can jump forwards or even backwards. Hopefully December's VB will be released soon so keep an eye out for that.
  12. The first one is what you need to be looking at now, that's the final action date. When your PD is before the date on that, a visa number is available to you and you'll be added to the queue for an interview to be scheduled. The second one isn't relevant to you, that's the date for filing an application i.e. anybody with a date prior to that will be asked to submit their DS-260's, pay their fees and submit their documents. You've already done all that, so now Table A is the important one. Hope that helps and makes sense?
  13. There is no visa available by law until your PD becomes current on the Visa Bulletin. Absolutely nothing you can do until that happens, no way of expediting it, no way of following up, nothing you can chase or email about. So all you can do it wait, keep watching the VB when it's released each month, and wait until the date is earlier than your PD. And as above, have a look at naturalising if it would help and you are eligible. Good luck.
  14. It’s the same CEAC tracking site you’ve used the whole way through, only the receipt number changes. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx And they just leave both in the mailbox, no signatures required. HTH.
  15. This thread is from May and if you look at the OP’s timeline you’ll see the visa has already been approved.
  16. It doesn't change after interview, so it's the same site as previously - https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx And once you've paid the GC fee you use the same site again to check the status of it's production and when it's sent but use your receipt number from that instead. HTH.
  17. mgsctravels isn't a citizen though. If you look at my previous posts you'll see mine, IIRC my status changed to 'issued' the afternoon of our interview, but I think that was much quicker than usual. We had our interview on a Monday afternoon and had our passports back Thursday.
  18. Does the consulate in HK do immigrant visas? And is it quicker than Canada? If so that may be worth a try.
  19. Even UK citizens who’ve tried to transfer have been refused. It might be worth trying another consulate but London is very strict on ‘consulate shopping’. Are you Canadian born or do you have any ties to another country?
  20. OK, so as Boiler has said, still quite a while to go. Visa Bulletin date is Feb 2019 for that category - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-november-2023.html
  21. And if it's F2B then it'll be even longer. @AileenRico42, it would be helpful if you filled in your profile/timeline so that people can see which category and dates you're asking about. How old are the children?
  22. Attending a conference is permitted under a tourist visa or the VWP, just as visiting to check out colleges is. There’s no difference. I think you’re missing the point. I wouldn’t be surprised if your conversation has been noted down, just as mine have been on entry each time. But I don’t see why you think it’s a problem, you are overthinking it.
  23. She can file but unfortunately it isn’t possible for anybody other than immediate relatives to file to adjust status & stay, as per the advice given to you previously. So she’ll need to leave before her visa expires and wait outside the US.
  24. Ok, so are you thinking your parents will sponsor them? If so it’ll be a lot longer than 5-6 yrs.
  25. I don’t think it will be an issue at all but I don’t know why you think they won’t make notes on your conversation. I’ve had several comments about info I’ve given previously when entering i.e. ‘are you back to speak at another conference?’ Etc. So it’s obvious that a brief comment I’ve made has been noted for future entries.
