I assume you're married to a US citizen?
    Do it now.

Question to others: is I-129F still ok in this case or dead e.g I-130 is required?

I'm sorry, I can't offer specifics other than an RFE of this type could mean a lot was missed and as I can't see your documents nor do I know anything about your individual financial situations, it wouldn't be fair to guess.
Like I said though....LOTS of threads on the topic to read through and determine what you need to do.
I will say, less is more. Assets only if income doesn't meet guidelines. Never as an extra.

I think the easiest is to just go into the IRS Website and download copies of your tax transcripts for the period you need to report.  It takes a whole of 10 minutes to do.

Higher now that you have demonstrated immigrant intent. Only one way to find out - apply and see what happens.

Staying for 7+ months is unusual for working-age Canadians…..   how are you able to afford to not work?

If you are working while in the US (even remotely), then that’s another thing to worry about.

Once he takes the oath, he must inform NVC to upgrade your case to an IR category.  He will have to submit a copy of his Naturalization Certificate or US passport.  This is an extremely urgent question:
Are there derivative children to your petition?

    totally agree
you provide all the information as u could do yourself on the petition
one of their office workers types it out (not the lawyer himself)
you sign it and are responsible for all info to be correct and many have  been caught up in mistakes the attorney offices has made later on in the process
Lawyer does not walk u thru the remaining process or do any more without an additional fee

AND A CHEAP LAWYER IS JUST THAT   "CHEAP"

If u are not prepared to do the K1 pettion yourself ,  the AOS after US marriage will floor u  and that costs $1225 without the lawyer

Why K1 when the spouse visa is less work and has so many more benefits like getting the SS #, a Driving license ,  the immigrant can work after POE?

You are only required to send in the updated page (s) with the corrected answers for public charge . This must be done on the SAME edition as the filed I-485.

If you do not have a file copy of that edition page or cannot download it, then you would need to do a complete I-485 form ( all pages ) and indicate an updated edition form is enclosed .

At the end of the day, they must end up with a complete / corrected form where ALL pages are of the same edition

I am sorry you found it offensive, I'm giving a warning so you don't get into trouble during your immigration journey. By no any means I meant to accuse you, but USCIS may if you give them an answer like this. Good luck!

You are NOT to fill out a new form.
You ARE to fill out the form they returned to you as instructed.

Hi, I received an RFE regarding my Form I-485. I would like to ask if I need to use the updated edition because the only advice they provided in my RFE was to answer the public charge question. I'm confused about whether I need to update other questions under the I-485 forms or just focus on the public charge. Additionally, should I use the updated edition or continue with the one we used for filing? Thank you so much!

Also, what surprised me the most was "how the hell was she able to board her flight into Rome from the U.S.?".

Clearly the airline that issued her the boarding pass without checking her eligibility (Schengen visa) was bearing the responsibility and it was a clear case of it being legitimately fined for this situation.

I think @Rocio0010 is pointing out this is a common knowledge? Outside of few exceptions for US LPRs, every country looks at the passport and doesn't really care about permanent residences elsewhere including the US.

Is this a question or a statement?
Yes, typically a passport dictates whether visa is required.

However, a good example is travelling to Canada with passport and Green Card.

Even if passport requires appying for visa or eTA to enter Canada, green card waives that requirenent. US LPRs can enter Canada visa free. There's some other countries which simplify entry for US LPRs. Of course, passport is still required.

Of course, the primary purpose of GC is living in the US and travelling to the US.

One must understand that the final decision related to the affidavit of support is made based on the totality of circumstances.  If the sponsor clearly does not qualify, no other circumstance matter.  If the sponsor DOES clearly qualify financially, on the the considered circumstances is the relationship between the sponsor, or in this case, "joint sponsor" that causes the sponsor to be willing to act as joint sponsor.  When there is no clear relationship, a Consular Officer is not going to believe the sponsor will fulfil those obligations.  Same problem with "elderly" joint sponsors who are not likely to be around to fulfil those obligations.

The OP needs to understand that there are practical aspects to bringing a foreign spouse to the USA.  One common way of expressing this is "No money, no honey!"  The time to have seriously considered these practical aspects, was very early in the relationship, long before the marriage or I-130 filing.

Correct answer.  Whether your liquid assets will be enough to overcome the denial depends on facts we don't know.  Typically the MINIMUM for a spouse case is 3 times the income shortfall, but meeting the minimum is no guarantee.  Need more details to provide any further advice, but there definitely is no way around the public charge issue.  A qualified sponsor must provide and execute an affidavit of support.  If your assets qualify, use them.  If not, no visa.

I know, Its very much important to choose the right lawyer, one of the Layer that i had a consultation session charged $450 for 30min an gave no information, by saying we will work on this and that and not even paid attention. Long story short if you are paying money, make sure you feel confident with the them, The one I hired asked me so many questions that I felt judged but also that gave me confidence that she knows what she is doing.
