After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC case we got a notice of approval today.
Both our natulzation and our ROC cases have been approved and we are awaiting the oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony.

18 plus months since the case was moved to the NBC from the California Service Center to get approval and 25 months overall.

Just today we got two updates "We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review". and also an update today "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".

So it looks like there is a good chance we will make the June 29th date for the Oath Ceremony for the Sacramento office.

When you successfully submit an i751 form to remove conditions on her green card USCIS will send you a receipt notice that will have an extension of your expired green card up to 24 months.

You use the expired green card with the 24 month extension letter together when you travel or anytime you need to prove your continued LPR status.

If your case drags on beyond two years after your green card expires you can get an i551 stamp in your passport at your local USCIS field office.

No approval on either case as of yet (i751 & N400), still waiting for a decision and scheduling of the oath ceremony. Waiting 11 days so far.

We have 751 case since May 2020 (2 years) and n400 case filed in May 2021 (one year). We had a combo interview on Monday 5/16/2022 in Sacramento, only got the invite for the n400 no update at all for the i751. We had no issue entering the building together, despite the invitation for only n400.

I would strongly advise to go together to your interview, we had no issues going together and entering the USCIS office. We were interviewed for the i751 first and the file was there; and then the n400 interview and test which my husband passed. The US citizen spouse, me, was allowed to stay during the n400 interview.

We have a joint i751 pending and n400 filed under the three year rule also still pending. Still awaiting approval for both, no update on the online status yet for either: the i751 is showing transfer to NBC notice and the n400 is showing scheduled for interview for n400.

We had our i751 and n400 combo interview today at the Sacramento Field Office.
The interviews seem to go well, the IO indicated that she was recommending both petitions i751 & n400 to be approved and the cases was being sent to a supervisor for final approval.

So we await approval of both the i751 and n400.

So 2 years after submitting our i751 application we got an interview at our local field office for the ROC case.  We only got notice for the n400 interview in the invitation USCIS sent but we were expecting a combo interview so we both showed up for the interview.

So if you have an pending i751 case and you get an interview notice for the n400 only be sure to be prepared to do both with both the spouse and petitioner attending the interview for a joint i751 application.

You should refile a new i751 petition right away, don't bother appealing your case, the time and cost to appeal is about the same as refiling a new petition and you are unlikely to win an appeal even if it was USCIS fault.

USCIS routinely moves i751 cases to the NBC after petitioner files  a n400 for naturalization. Basically setting up a combo interview.

Our i751 has been pending since May 2020 it was transferred to the National Benefits Center in December 2020 for faster processing, no updates since then on our online account. We have never got a notice that an interview is ready to be scheduled.  As a K1 & AOS green card recipient and the i751 case originally sent to the California Service Center we were not expecting an interview.

Now we have an interview schedule for our pending n400 naturalization May 16th. No word on the i751 case as of yet so I am expecting a combo i751/n400 interview, really hoping for a joint i751/n400 interview at our appointment.

Both of us will be at the Sacramento USCIS field office ready for a combo interview on May 16th. The US citizen spouse will be on standby to join the immigrant spouse for an impromptu joint i751 interview if needed.

da95826 got a reaction from SDNOMAD in When you apply for i-751 removal of conditions
If you have a 2 year conditional green card you file an i751 to remove the conditions within 90 days of the expiration of the 2 year card. You get an extension letter for 2 years, most ROC LPR cases are approved within the two years and you get a 10 year green card after ROC approval.

You can travel, get a job, or renew a driver's license with the old expired conditional green card together with the expired green card.
When you apply for an i751 your LPR status does not expire, only proof of your continued LPR status expires. Only an immgration judge takes away your LPR status.

Yes, as long as you remain married to a US citizen spouse for the whole 3 years since getting your green card. That is our case, we have both a ROC and naturalization pending at this time. Our n400 is scheduled for an interview on May 16th. Hopefully they will adjudicate our ROC case at the same appointment as we have both cases pending.

You can provide a narrative in your cover letter that explains your address history explaining that you and your spouse lived at each specific address during each time period. As long as you and your spouse live together at each address it does not matter USCIS that you lived at more than one address.

You should plan on providing a cover letter that summarizes your evidence you enclose with the i751 application and explaining any special circumstances like moving, or any special living arrangement (living with family or special living arrangements like utilities are included in rent).
