AOS Checklist
Cover Letter listing Table of Contents (Check Payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security - $1,225.00)  
Form I-485 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)
Form G-1145  Form I-944 (Declaration of Self-Sufficiency with applicable supporting documents.) Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page  Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp  Copy of NOA2 Approval letter (from K1 process)  I-94  Copy of beneficiary's Birth Certificate  translation of birth certificate (if needed) Certified copy of Marriage License  Passport Photos (2) name written on the back  Copy of DS-3025   
Form I-864 (completed and signed by USC) (goes with form I-485)
Proof of USC's citizenship (copy of birth certificate, copy of passport bio page, or other) 2018, 2017 (optional), and 2016 (optional) Tax Return (with W-2) or Transcripts Employment Verification letter (updated one - not the one used during K1 process)  Pay stubs (last 3 months)   
Form I-765 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)
Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page  Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp  I-94  Passport Photos (2) name written on the back  Copy of NOA2 (from K1 process)

Be sure to double check for the current fees as fees do sometimes increase, so please check. Additionally check the forms as listed above i.e., current version and or edition date, there has been changes to various forms since February 24, 2020. Consider sending tax transcripts instead of the 1040, and W2's. Also consider preparing a cover letter for each form in addition to the main cover letter.
 
Make sure you send long form birth certificates and not the short form. IMPORTANT: Form I-944 has quite a bit of supporting documents that go with it depending on your situation, be sure to read the instructions for this form carefully. Many people have gotten a RFE for this form so be sure to pay CLOSE attention when filing it out. Hope this helps in your preparation of your AOS. When in doubt ask questions.

We're stuck waiting for our interview. We sent in our Notice of Readiness on March 19th but have to wait until interviews resume.

Hello all! I received my K1 visa yesterday! My heart nearly exploded out of my chest as I cut the courier packaging - issue date 14th April!
In light of the new EO and the upcoming non-immigrant revision in 30days, I was terrified my issue date would be 23rd April. 
Will be arranging my flight to arrive in Seattle by May 20 or earlier (May 22 will be 30days from April 23) - please wish me luck!!
This chat has gone really quiet, and I hope that means most, or all of you have your visas, or already in the US? For anyone out there still waiting, please don't lose hope!

And I think I saw somewhere that someone did confirm with the border that K1 visa is under essential travel, don't quote me on it but have seen few people pass the border with K1.
 
Still a good idea to contact them before you go and make sure everything is okay to go.

Finally some good news starting to come through

Not much optimism in this thread, try thinking positive and avoid raising your blood pressure and that of your beneficiary.... but the uncertainty is driving you crazy and you want peace of mind right? well you're not going to get it, at least not until the details of the EO come out, So again, think the best case scenario, not the worst, Relax, take a couple shots of Tequila and watch re-runs of Gilligan's Island, it works for me

The trump Administration is planning to pass an Executive Order in the next 24 hours to suspend immigration to America.  While it's unlikely the President will change their mind on the general policy, we believe they may consider a narrow exception for immediate family members of US Citizens, including fiancés.  We've started a petition a the White House which requires 10,000 signatures to get attention and 100,000 signatures to get a formal response.  Please join us by signing the petition at the following link.  We should have the membership to make a solid run at getting enough signatures!

yes...but we're in australia, which requires special permission to LEAVE! so until we get permission to leave australia, we cna't even get on a plane!
 

This has made me physically ill. 
Temporary or not... how long is temporary? 
 
Before I met my fiance, I was single since 2012. Never really was ready to see anyone due to trauma and heart break. 
I FINALLY met the love of my life last year. 
Then finding out about all the extra scrutiny and higher bars we have to jump over... mentally accepting everything. 
We finally decide when to make an official proposal in France before filing the paperwork. 
Then we found out of all the hoops, scrutiny, and wait times... fine. 
Then my travel plans got canceled... fine 
Then the virus happened, can't collect necessary documents, we will have to wait till quarantine restrictions are lifted in our countries... fine
Now this? I mean COME ON, can we get a freaking break?  
 
I really hope this gets pushed back, I refuse to believe our country can let this man just be... flat out cruel.

You can't be serious.  This throws hundreds of thousands of lives off balance, and could ruin some people opportunity to immigrate to the US.  Everyone ought to be worried, and rightfully so until someone, anyone can provide some details of what he meant.

Are you really asking why people are panicking? This is a high stakes process and it is stressful, the pandemic is stressful, a temporary ban with no end date is stressful and not having information is stressful. It makes sense to worry when you just want to be with the person that you love.

Haven’t been on here in a while. I filed my K-1 in 2014, AOS in 2015, had a long delay for ROC from 2017 through 2019, and naturalized in 2019 at which point my ROC was adjudicated simultaneously. But when I heard the news tonight the first thing I thought of was all of you in every conceivable stage of the process. I just wanted to drop by and say I’m sorry and that my heart is with you all. None of this is right, and none of this is fair, and you deserve better. The USA has a responsibility to do better. Sending my love to you all wherever you’re at in the world tonight. 

Which speaks to his cruelty and psychopathy. He has no concern for the chaos he is causing for millions of people right now. His actions are sick and toxic.
 
A sane and competent president would NEVER make such an announcement via TWITTER at 10pm in the evening and with ZERO details.
 
How the USA ever allowed itself to be ruled by this moronic psychopath baffles me daily. 

After a bunch of delays that were out of our control, I thought a global pandemic would be the last one. Guess I should have seen this coming. If this goes through, the immigration process will have finally broken me. 

I know we're supposed to be socially distancing, but you're out there somewhere in America further than six feet away from me, so please take this hug. ❤️
