Hello everybody, I would like to update anyone who are interested when it comes to traveling to Norway. My wife flew from SFO to Copenhagen and then to Norway, via SAS. Upon arrival at SFO they asked for her quarantine documents from UDI. Then in Denmark, they did not check anything other than ushering her to the connecting flight. Arriving in Stavanger, Norway, she was only asked how long she was staying, and to show passport.
 
Regarding our interview date at the Embassy in Stockholm, we were suppose to be there August 14th. Unfortunately due to health issues, that has been postponed.

PS I did speak to the Danish Police(Border control), and they said as long as she had proof of leaving Denmark everything was ok for transit. Evidence was the boarding pass showing next flight. They like you to stay as short as possible at the airport.

So some updates for my Scandinavia friends 😊 I've been home sick with a stomach virus so I've been able to surf for news 🤣 lol

Sweden – Level 3: Reconsider Travel
  Reconsider travel to Sweden due to COVID-19. Read the Department of State’s  COVID-19 page  before you plan any international travel. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for the Sweden due to COVID-19. Sweden has lifted stay at home orders, and resumed some transportation options and business operations.

Which I think is both good news. Hopefully this means more CO'S can come back to Sweden and more mission critical visa interviews can happen and faster 😊

I have contacted both of my house representatives and my senator. I think this is a wonderful idea! I finally feel engaged and not just sitting and twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to happen. Thank you for a constructive post!!

Yes! Norway is allowing long term relationship partners in. You have to bring a signed declaration with you and you will be allowed in. You have to declare the place you will quarantine upon your arrival as well.  I’m not sure about Denmark but I think they may have a similar process. 

Scan and printed is fine for the interview.

Update! My friend made it to Oslo! The check in agent at Boston didn't know what the UDI declaration form was (the document your Norwegian partner needs to fill out) but his supervisor recognized it immediately and checked her in. She went through normal passport controls in Iceland and Oslo and only had to present her passport and UDI form, and was only asked the normal questions (who are you visiting, where are you staying). We had prepared so many other documents verifying the relationship, proving his address (since that's where she must quarantine for 10 days), etc. But fortunately, she didn't need any of it. She said Iceland Air also blocks off seats so you wont be sitting directly next to anyone which was obviously another concern of hers. She felt more safe on the flights than she thought she would.
 
It seems there have been many issues with people trying to transit through Frankfurt or Amsterdam, so I'd recommend Iceland Air if you're thinking of visiting to ease your stress. Good to know it's possible to visit, for sure! My heart goes out to all of you going through this process on top of a global pandemic ❤️

For the Norwegians in this thread- my friend has a flight tonight from Boston to Oslo (layover in Iceland on Iceland Air). She's going to visit her fiance under the new "sweetheart law" that says boyfriends and girlfriends from visa-free non EU/Schengen countries can visit if they have been dating longer than 9 months and have met in person at least once. I haven't seen anyone in this group attempting to make the trip over yet, but if anyone's interested to see how it goes for her, I'll update you all after she lands. We've seen some people get turned away by check in agents because they are unaware of the exemption, but fingers crossed.
 

It's just amazing that we still can't even MAIL paperwork to a country that has less cases than my state and who's embassy probably employs less people than the local Wal-Mart that is open every day. A Wal-Mart that's filled with employees that wear masks on mouths with noses hanging out by the way.
