  I'm not sure what it did or how much it helped the guy in your story, but he was on the phone talking to friends, so maybe he wasn't as far gone as he claims. I don't know either way, but more anecdotal evidence.

I would try something I know works. I am not convinced with these drugs yet. Right now I would rather have one of the antiviral drugs.

Forced abortions are what China did and no reasonable person supports them. They're a human rights violation just as much as denying a woman the right to have an abortion is. The pregnant woman is the only one who gets to decide.

If the lifetime risk of dying of dying in a car accident was spread over the next 6 months, I imagine we would be shutting down some roads. If the risk of dying from Covid-19 could be spread over a lifetime, we would not need quarantines or shutdowns. Unfortunately we have what we have. It's still a false equivalency.

I have no idea where you pulled these numbers from.

Peoples perception of risk is very often far removed from reality, quite interesting, they will go to a lot of effort to avoid risks that are pretty minimal yet embrace others much more obvious.

I've never seen a hospital cancel all elective surgeries for a month because we are filling up with car accident victims. Have you seen that?

AFAIK, the service centers are sill open. I-129Fs for a K-1 are processed at CSC.
That said, with the lockdowns in place in CA, I would not be surprised if processing has essentially come to a near-halt for now.
 
COVID-19 itself is not a medical inadmissability at this time. It's not even tested for at the medical.
If somebody is fully recovered, I do not think there would be any issue (and if not,, you should not be traveling anywhere in the first place!).
