You can try. No it won’t affect your cr-1. But honestly from Pakistan with a pending cr-1 it’s a low probability you’ll get it approved

My interview was on 24th October 2019, Honestly after so many months of anxiety, i am little bit shocked and happy too that how my visa interview was easy and just the whole process went in general, I got approved and they congratulate me.
Everyone is so cooperative and they help during the interview.

You’re NOA2 was 10/28, so right not likely. It takes 2-4 weeks for the petition to get from USCIS to NVC. Then NVC processes it before shipping to the embassy. Total time is running about 6-12 weeks now.

Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.
 
You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

Well folks the time has finally arrived! Flying out to Manila tomorrow to join my Fiancee before her interview next week! We both just want to let all you guys know how much we appreciate all the advice and help during this long and stressful process. We surely realize it's far from over at this point, but at least it will make things easier knowing that we will be together for the remainder of it all.  Any last words of advice before the interview would really be appreciated from us both. Yeah we’ve decided to wait also. There’s a good chance she’ll get her visa before the end of the year. But there’s some things we decided to take care of before she travels here. I’m also going there to travel back with her. So we’ve decided early April is a good time. Hard to wait when we don’t absolutely have to , but in the long run it will be beneficial financially

Things are quietly in motion.
I have applied for a renewed passport. Tracked and signed for delivery.
Turns out it was quicker and cheaper to do that in the long run rather than wait for the embassy.
Once I have that in my hands, I can get started on sorting out my belongings and Ed, my cat.
I have a place to go sorted as well as someone willing to come out to get me, fly back with me from PHL or JFK, and take some of my luggage as theirs to save with extra luggage costs. All that is cheaper than getting a one way ticket from my local airport! 😐

So Fiance called Juarez consulate and they told her that they sent out the instructions via DHL to send in her passport. So She did today and hope we get it stamped and sent back soon. Its all moving along now. Hopefully initial AP is done. #progress

My fiancee finally received her visa! Once we get our son's Philippine passport (he's already got the CRBA and US Passport) I can plan our travel to bring them home. Would it be advisable to get his Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC) anyways, just incase or is his Phil passport definitely enough?
