I tried sending an inquiry regards with my case thru email at NVCExpedite@state.gov, they responded after 3 days. However, I inquired too soon and they said they haven't received my file yet. You can try sending inquiries at NVCExpedite@state.gov, they reply faster than NVCInquire@state.gov

A month ago, my husband and I were planning to send an I-129f, because our i-130 is also assigned at Nebraska SC. We compared everything and just decided to wait for our i-130 approval. But yeah, LDR is really though, all the frustrations and waiting. So upon reading some new i-129f fillers and expedited approvals of I-130 at NSC, I convinced my husband to file an i-129f. I hope everything turns great just like the other filers who got their i-130 approved sooner.

Nice theory, but USCIS started joining the two petitions and adjudicating them together, in November of 2006.  It's pulling the I-130 to join it with the I-129F that gets it on somebody's desk sooner.  Whether they go ahead and kill the I-129F and approve the I-130 at that time, is a crapshoot, probably worth the trouble of completing and mailing another form.

agreed. its worth to try, if it worked, then better. If not, then the file will go thru the same process as everyone else.

I think they review I-129F for spouses faster since they receive less applications of it compared to I-130.
I'm not sure. But it helps to have the I-130 reviewed faster as they deny I-129F and approve I-130 the same day or the next day.

Take into account there hasn't been that I have seen an IOE receipt petition in Nebraska whom filed a K-3 getting any faster treatment yet.

Abandoning your K-1, and getting married then filing for I-130 what's the chances of you getting Nebraska? You might get Texas/Potomac which are much faster than Nebraska in itself. So it might be worth it, but there's a risk in having Nebraska and no fast track since it's IOE and the loophole closed.

    Just food for thought.

This is the logical explanation.  Since the two files have to be joined, in order to kill the I-129F, somebody already has the files on their desk.  Since it only takes about 30 minutes to adjudicate an I-130, they might as well deal with what is in front of them, instead of returning both cases to storage.  Whether this is happening, I have no information, but it IS logical.

Yup. The illogical aspect is why are they looking at the I-129F in the first place.

Denying or closing the I-129F is an EXPECTED thing by everybody who files it for a spouse.  The reason for filing it is to get faster approval of the I-130.  The actual K3 visa, has been virtually unavailable for several years.  What changed was that USCIS is now killing the progress instead of NVC.  NVC started killing it February 1, 2010.

It's in Nebraska. According to @Joe & Dhee.
There's an explanation on their profile how they did it.

I read somewhere online (I closed the window I can't find it anymore) that some do this because when they file the i129f it forces the service center to look into their file and seeing that they submitted to the i130 they get NOA2/approval since their file is already open/being reviewed.

@payxibka and @Hank_ are correct.  I'll just add that this:

Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation.
    K-1
Slightly faster arrival in the US
        More expensive than CR-1
Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)
Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 5-6 months)
Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 5-6 months)
Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period
Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed.

    CR-1
Slightly slower arrival in the US
        Less expensive than K-1
        No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required.
Spouse can immediately travel outside the US
Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival.
Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US
Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport.
Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.
