Anastasia's interview was this morning (Moscow time, so still last night here in California) and the interviewer informed her she was approved. 😊

it most definitely is different per country. some u pay online with invoive number, some u make a bank deposit based on slip from invoice, and some u pay in-person at the interview.

Be sure to follow the instructions for your consulate. Dont get confused with what others are supposed to do for theirs.

There is a chance of earlier, there is a chance of later. could be March, could be March 2020.  Shouldnt matter.... just live your life.  You're assuming much more order in a process that isnt. VJ said 180 days and we were 207. It is what it is.

its a factual conversation about events in the past that arent changeable.  If i read between the lines here, you're getting an emotional respose from your other half about that... so i would suggest to setup some time to really talk about it. Not make an appointment, but more like "hey -so im concerned about not having enough background on the finances and employment history that is part of the upcoming interview. Can we take about 30 minutes and work through some questions that could arise during the interview?"

Avoid using "you", "i" because it may provoke defensiveness. ask permission for the conversation. reassure him you're not judging or trying to change history. focus on trying to prepare for the interview. take the conversation slowly. do it over video so u can read body language.  Try a "dress rehearsal" with a close friend.

Hopefully these tips help. Good luck!

Some unsolicited advice: Finances and communication are issues 2 and 1 when it comes to being married and living together. Especially when u will be unable to legally work for 6-8 months after arriving in the USA and hidden expenses will start hitting you from every direction... Invest some time in really knowing and understanding your future spouse now.  It will make you more prepared for the interview and give u skills that you'll most certainly need later.

ours changed to AP 24h after the interview.  there are typically 2 phases of AP (and 2 readys) before it changes to issued.

First, good luck with your interview!

Transcripts are a "better substitute" for the 1040 returns, you definitely dont need both and either will do. Transcripts are shorter versions of the processed returns. You should also bring W2s and employment verification letter (requested from HR department).

The rest of the story really depends on both the CO in Nepal and the petitioners situation. If self-employed you should plan on more supporting docs, for example banking records.  For our interview in Kuwait last week, they took 2017 1040 and 3 years of W2s and that's all, not even the i134.

I recommend, and this is what we did and had no problems, getting the SSN prior to marriage. Do it in the first week the beneficiary arrives in the states. Don't take no we can't do it BS from SS. Sell them on the fact that it would be helpful if they were to present to you their supervisor.
