Agree on both these paragraphs.  First: If the girl did any homework, she would have been more patient.  (But this is good news for the OP as it saves him a lot of aggravation later)
 
Second: Agreed on granting a divorce when a woman asks for it.  Unfortunately, I did that to my ex after her second ask.  Then when I met / got engaged to my current wife, my ex was sorry she asked.  She thought I'd just hang around and wait for her.  She and I are close friends now, but I've told her, don't go nuclear unless you can deal with the fallout.  If you want to work on something, work on it.  If you don't want a divorce, don't ask for it.  That word is not a negotiation tool.

1- sounds like all she wants is a greencard
2- you can not participate in the rest of AOS process and she will not GET a greencard. she can not adjust under anyone else. She will be out of status and required to leave. You should also send a letter to USCIS revoking your affidavit of support.
3-VAWA has to be PROVEN, it can not just be her making claims with no evidence. You saying she can not work ILLEGALLY (Since she has no EAD) is not abuse, it is following the LAW.
 
 

Agreed about the news part.   I know a DUI in the Philippines isn't criminal (unless there is an accident) but it's not "legal" either.  I don't know any state in the USA that it's legal.  (Although in NJ is a traffic offense instead of a criminal offense).  

But I'm very surprised it didn't show up on the USCIS check and trigger an RFE.  

In response, I'd concur with what the previous poster (RT&MJ) said.

We were there today too ...  We had an 8:40am appointment.  We were out in about 50 minutes.  They asked her two questions.  (They asked her where I worked, and one other she can't recall).   Very pleasant process.  We are very happy.  Like someone said "Cloud 9"
 
Now just have to wait for the Visa delivery.

And OMG, *NEVER* use Atlanta as your POE.  I lived there 18 years, and even when I was flying home from overseas, I'd connect ANYWHERE ELSE to avoid using Atlanta as my POE.  Not only are they slow, but they are also incredibly rude and even militant.  I got thru there one time, and I stopped for a second to put my passport back in my bag and this large dude from CBP screams "YOU ARE IN A MOVING HALLWAY, KEEP MOVING !!!"   I just looked and said "Just as soon as I put my passport in my bag".  (I was literally 1 of 3 people in this massive hallway)

That was literally the last time I *EVER* used Atlanta for a POE.  Worst managed border crossing in the nation.
