Just Paul got a reaction from igoyougoduke in Finding a job in America
Since you are coming in on a K1 you will have lots of time to start looking.

Just Paul got a reaction from cbro in I-130 Online Filers
You are certainly focusing on the wrong thing. . . Workloads get shifted, service centers add employees.
Be happy that you got it filed and it in the queue and you have something to add to your timeline!

LOL. no
I brought a laptop ( and an international cell phone) to the Philippines for my asawa as a wedding gift.

Just Paul got a reaction from little immigrant in Wait 90 days AOS on ESTA already married?
You are basing it on an Department of State Guideline that has nothing to do with USCIS. You are not applying for a VISA, you are adjusting status.

File the AOS and all the extras, AP and EAD. No need to wait. Easy enough to do it yourself.

Again, if you want the petition to go to the consulate, you will need to update the information. Get a qualified joint sponsor.
Use I-864P as the guide and make sure that everyone that it immigrating is counted and yourself and household members are included. Include any children of yours that you provide support to.

Yes that is the best option - hopefully you will get it completed soon.

Just Paul got a reaction from John & Rose in Laptop ban
I rarely travel on work with a single laptop. Next month, for a conference in Manila, I will have two laptops, three cell phones, two Raspberry Pi computers, a mini projector, a mifi hotspot and a tablet. And that's for a week.
I'm hoping to get sentenced to 6 hours at the pier lounge in Hong Kong and get a foot massage and some duck.

Just Paul got a reaction from Mother of Moomin in Can I still apply for ESTA after abandoning AoS Application?
From a practical standpoint you will not qualify for ESTA without a job.
Your wife needs to petition you with a I-130. It would be about a year to get a job and /or find a sponsor.
You can meet somewhere else.
This isn't even close to true. Your wife could have added you to her policy or you could have gotten a policy on the exchange. SSN is not required.

And all of those have combination issues with documents, refusals and repatriation. Belarus in Europe is on that list too and that seems odd.

How long were you expecting?
Did you see the timelines in the above blue ribbon?
Did you look at USCIS processing times before you filed? https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Just Paul got a reaction from jd_malachi in Received NOA2. Should I Send Documents Now?
Slow it down. Don;y do extra work or make mistakes. Like, police reports are only valid for a year. If your interview is after 4/15 they will want the 2019 tax returns. File the tax returns at the end of next week and then you can get transcripts.

Not yet. Yes you can upload it if you want to. Be prepared to take a transcript to the interview would be my advice.

Just Paul reacted to Crazy Cat in Overwhelmed by taxes
Good points. Since my wife has continuing foreign income and foreign assets, I found it easier to just let an accountant handle our taxes the first year......I just didn't want the worry about the extra forms and reporting requirements....This will be year 3 doing the same.
