  1. Thanks for not just giving me a quick answer and helping me understand why. I appreciate that 😉
  2. I know that the MRV fee is valid for 1 year but the NOA2 has an expiration date. With the embassies being closed, it will expire. Greenbaum do you think it will still be honored?
  3. Yes, only the Medical Exam must be completed by approved physician. He completed the exam in February. When did you schedule your interview?
  4. I have never heard of the vaccinations having to be done by an approved physician only the actual exam. I think you might be misinformed or maybe misunderstood.
  5. What is this for? I haven't came across this required document in my process. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something as my fiancé has his interview next month.
  6. I'm not really sure where to add this bit of information but it was very helpful for me regarding insurance for immigrants in the US. I have been searching the web, asking multiple forums and making several calls trying to figure out if my fiancé would be able to use the Marketplace to shop for insurance on a K1 visa. This article from healthinsurance.org answered all of my questions and some. Hopefully this information will be of use to others with the same questions. https://www.healthinsurance.org/obamacare/how-immigrants-are-getting-health-coverage/

  9. @Greenbaum do you know if the beneficiary is able to shop for health insurance through the Marketplace or do they consider that a form of public assistance?
  10. Yes! Thanks for responding though. My fiancé is wondering if they will tell him if anything was wrong with his medical exam and if so how they notify him. Do you have any information about this?
  11. Actually the information you just provided is the information I provided to you yesterday. Through experience with the DR it is necessary to call as sometimes the website does not update. Just today someone from the DR was able to schedule over the phone when it showed no appointments available online. I would recommend calling if you are unable to get an appointment within a few day of checking the website.
