We too had our interview 3/28 and are hoping for Duncan to enter on 4/6.... right there with you for fingers and toes crossed!!!! Is your status still in Administrative Processing?? So glad to read someone else stuck in the post-approval wait with Easter holidays... worst timing ever huh!?!
Oh it was really bad timing, but that seemed to be our luck in general during the last 10months. Good news finally we had issued Wednesday am, picked up Wednesday afternoon and was delivered Thursday morning.......I am all packed and ready to fly out 6.30am Friday morning. POE San Francisco Friday morning 7am

Great news!!!! congratulations
Have you received your passport back yet?
Thank you, and no not as yet sigh, we bumped into Easter holidays. I am hoping to have it Wed or Thurs so I can fly on Friday. We do have a flexi fare booked. The consulate did say 3-5 working days.......we may just scrape in. Others before me have had it back on the 3rd day after the interview, we need to catch a break as we have bumped into every obstacle on this journey.......finger n toes all crossed

We are APPROVED, after 293 long, long days. Never in our wildest dreams did we think the process would take this long. A huge weight has been lifted to finally be at this point. Now we have to just wait for my passport and packet to be sent out, I am hoping to fly on the 6th April, we do have the Easter break (public holidays) coming up which just may delay things by a few days, I have everything crossed that we get them in time.
I can't begin to describe how fretful the lead up to the interview was, it is so important and the last hurdle, will I forget something, will I find the building, will my medical packet magically open on its own, what will the interviewer be like, what questions will I be asked...... It was a nerve racking morning, but I did find other lovely people facing the interview as well, we were all having the same minor panic attacks. We joined forces and supported each other, friendly banter while waiting it made such a difference. I wish I knew the outcome for everyone, Jess before me was approved.
I will do a review for the consulate as the past reviews that I have read helped me understand the process of the day and what to expect. Best of luck to everyone still waiting for their interview, be honest, speak the truth and it will be ok.

Our case is finally in transit to the consulate, it feels surreal to be finally at this stage. I have booked my medical and I am hoping for an interview date early March with POE late March, fingers n toes all crossed.
I continue to check daily @John & Rose, @Trinab80 in the to hope finally see your Noa2. This process is mentally draining and I feel for all those still waiting on their Noa2. I do wish we could see the process, know where are files are at and what they are currently working on at each stage. Currently we just wait in the dark not knowing. More information would really help.

So my question is. My fiancé is filing out the Visa and it’s one section in the application. Anyone know what it means priority date for passport ?
K1 visas do not have a priority date. The DS 160 does ask for one and you cant continue until you put a date in. We have done some research and many people have used their Noa1 date.

We have finally been given a case number wooohooo!! I have my medical booked for next Monday, now just have to wait for the consulate to receive the case so I can be allocated an interview date

Our case has finally been received at the NVC after 28 days, I did think it was going to take longer. Fingers crossed we get assigned a case number really soon, they have said it can take up to 2 weeks.......but it seems looking at other cases it wont take that long.
I'm really excited to finally be getting ready for the medical and interview. Woohooo, can't wipe the grin off my face

Do you guys think if my attorney does the inquiry, I will have a better response? in Tier 2?
I'm not sure it will I think it will only cost you $$$ and not give you any real/different answers. I think by you calling and speaking to T2 you will get the same information.
I hope it happens soon for you, its really a long tough process.

CONFESSION TIME: I know for a fact this question was asked, but do to my lack of faith at that moment i didnt pay attition.please forgive me.
Question(s): I am recieving a rfe in the mail this week. After being apart of this wonderful JUNE VJ family (even tho I feel like the black sheep of the familly) I know for a fact that I forgot to send
1. Both passport photos
2. Benif,intent letter (fiance)
3.Back of my birth certificate (petitioner)
4.All pages if passport, only sent stamped pages
5.Proof that we were both in DR at same time, concidering he is from Haiti but lives there.
My question is if i get the rfe and it doesnt ask for everything that is missed, should i only send wht they ask for,or should i send every thing i know i missed as well as what is asked for???
Also,if they ask for more pictures, can i send the same ones because i didnt go back to see him a 3rd time and i dont have new pictures? If they ask for another letter of intent to marry in 90 days do i send tge same and update the date,or write a new one? THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
I really don't understand why and how you forgot to send everything they asked for to begin with. The documents they asked for in the beginning are important for them to decide your case. A case officer now has to spend more time to send a RFE to you, you wait longer and it adds to the time everyone else is waiting.
I think you wait to see what the RFE now ask's for and go from there.

I think that is Capital letter NO to visa fraud, for someone who want to embark on a life time journey who is leaving thier well paid job to settle down in marriage needs to be extra ordinary carefull, while carrying out a risk assessment u think about possibilities and severities, if probably *shes* for instance is a woman who is not submissive, into drugs, fornication, trouble maker, dictator etc..and all this cant be detected during the distance relationship.. will U proceed with such marriage??.. if the spouse already resign his high paid job and have nothing to go back home for. If the spouse had someone in mind b4 why is she not the petitioner in the first place... We all need to be positive about our reasonable and comment on net...i dont think considering both positive and negative of a step is bad.
If you need to ask any of these questions after lodging a petition you really didn't know each other well enough to begin with and should not be going down the path of a K1 fiance visa application until you do. Nor do you leave well paying jobs until the application has been approved.
And if they had someone else in mind why on earth are they doing a K1 petition with another person OMG

We've seen it before.
Stick around long enough you will see again yourself.
This is why genuine K1 petitions are taking so long......weeding out this kinda #######.

I like visa fraud. It sounds more sinister! 😝
Or just honest

I'm guessing it isn't about developing a loving relationship. I believe if they do not marry the petitioner they have to leave the country before the 90 days or they would be in violation of the visa even if they married someone else.
Exactly.......its called getting in the country under false pretences.

Erm no, the application is for you to marry the person you have submitted the petition with. If the relationship has fallen apart then you would stay in your own country and not travel.........given you have three months from when you enter the country (after being granted a fiance visa) how on earth would you develop a loving genuine relationship with another person in that time. This K1 application is for genuine marriage to the person you love.

I got my case number! I called the NVC from Australia and got through within 10 mins. does anyone know the next steps?
Hi there,
Here is the link for the portal you use to set up login details for yourself. This is where you lodge your DS-160, make your payment and arrange medical and interview dates.
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/au-main-contactus.asp
There is a link half way down......support-australia@ustraveldocs.com.
We did phone the Sydney Embassy, gave passport details and a nice soul did set ours up....hope this helps.
Now you have your NVC number you should be good to go
-
either of you can. But It is better if the Petitioner do it since he is the citizen I guess?
I am going to keep this fact quite!
@jacq & ads............you are right
I'm on the understanding only the petitioner can call USCIS, once it reaches NVC either can call :).......oh and congrats on your approval
