Ingrid angele reacted to Ed&Midori1031 in almsot 6 months since NOA1 and nothing (merged)
I know exactly how you feel. My received date from CSC is August 10, 2017. I would agree with @I&A2017 as far as the receive date of the NOA2, about 5- 6 months. It's stressful, and all of us here that are waiting are hoping for something soon.

You may be better off because you did. I believe the timelines are going to start picking up after they get through June. May and June got hit bad but I think mid July and August will start to fly (relatively speaking).

The petition for my fiancé and I was received on August 8th at the CSC. I'm really hoping we hear an answer soon. I know I'm speaking on behalf of a lot of members here, so let's try not to stress. Everything happens at the right time. I'm hoping for the best for everyone, cheers!

Ingrid angele reacted to JFH in Proof of Relationship- Whatsapp chats
Always remember these two things:
- quality over quantity: Two plane tickets to see each other are worth more than 2,000 text messages in this game. Focus on time spent together, not idle chatter that fills the gaps in between.
- you are submitting evidence, not proof: proof would suggest that something is irrefutable. But nothing can "prove" that your relationship is genuine as USCIS is not able to read your thoughts. All you can do is submit as many different forms of good evidence as you can to strengthen your argument. Texts prove you have a working phone. Emails prove you know how to use a computer and you have a working internet service. Too many people mistakenly believe that communication is "proof" of a bona fide relationship and this can cause complacency.

Ingrid angele reacted to Limey in My fiancé was still married (on papers)when we star dating!!
My wife was still married (separated) when we got together. In NC there is a requirement to have been separated one year before you can apply for divorce, so it took time.
Obviously this means her divorce certificate was dated well after we met, and after the dates of some of my trips to the US to see her. This wasn't an issue at all. They never ask about when separation took place (its not relevant to immigration), they are only interested in seeing divorce certificate. So don't worry, and as always just tell the truth.

Ingrid angele reacted to AussieTam in My fiancé was still married (on papers)when we star dating!!
If he was divorced last year you will be fine Just be honest about your relationship don't ever lie . Explain how you met, how he proposed and your marriage plans. That's all they seemed to ask about. You both just had to be free to marry to apply for your K1 and they already have evidence of that

Ingrid angele reacted to Anything for Love in My fiancé was still married (on papers)when we star dating!!
Hello everyone, I have an important question, when I first met my fiancé he was still married, he starts his divorce process some time after we start dating, we even got engaged and after that he did the divorce, he wasn’t living with her and they both decided to end it up.. may that be a problem when they ask me when we start our relationship and they see that he was still married at that time?

Ingrid angele reacted to N-o-l-a in Is anyone else so emotionally drained from the K-1 process that they want to forgo a proper wedding (with ceremony & reception) and just go to the courthouse instead?
When you've been married a while, the wedding becomes unimportant. Then again, I've never found any joy in wedding planning - probably why I've been twice married at the courthouse.
In decades past before the Victorian obsession with the wedding dress as a status symbol, people often did something low-key just in their "Sunday best" clothes. I have a beautiful photo of my grandmother on her wedding day in 1940ish, just in a smart skirt suit. They had a great marriage.

Ingrid angele reacted to Dashinka in Is anyone else so emotionally drained from the K-1 process that they want to forgo a proper wedding (with ceremony & reception) and just go to the courthouse instead?
We took the time after the K1 was approved to plan the wedding. I know most people when they get engaged want to immediately start planning, but when you include immigration in this it is not a good idea to do any planning until issues are decided. There are many different ways to have a wedding, courthouse with a party later, small family affair at a private residence, and even a big affair is possible with planning. The main thing is that a person is tying the knot with that special someone, and in the end, the actual wedding ceremony will pale in comparison to the marriage itself.
Good Luck!

Ingrid angele reacted to mkr1990 in Officer makes decision before visa interview?
I was thinking about something interesting.. do you think the officer interviewing you already reviewed your case and is close to approving you but needs to verify some things with the questions he/she is asking? (This goes for Western European countries)

Ingrid angele reacted to Perfect two 💑 in Delayed noa1 to noa2 times
The visa timeline is not 100% accurate. It only showed the recent approval from which date. For example, if let say there is 100 members on visajourney that received their NOA1 in May 11, if one of them got approved. The visa timeline will be updated to May 11. But, it doesn't mean all the 100 members on May 11 will get an approval on that day. You can refer to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0By5zWJL4h__Tdi1BLXlUUC0xN1E . One of the May filers @Shoegum did a great job in scanning all the cases for K-1 in May 2017.
