Liam2021 got a reaction from Dashinka in Torn if wait for i751 or apply for n400..
The answer is really simple: if your home country allow dual citizenship and you want get it done with USCIS, N-400 is the way to go. I-751 is a super low priority with USCIS so It will be sitting there like forever.

If you submitted N400 online, you can find all the documents(NOA1, Biometric notice, interview notice..) in your online account.

I-751 is low priority. If citizenship is your goal, you can file for naturalization after getting back from the trip.

Unless you want to file a petition to bring your family's members to USA, no one is really care about birth cert. Also, you need to research more about dual citizenship. Your home country is allow dual citizenship.

Liam2021 got a reaction from Ban Hammer in Can a family court judge make a U.S. citizen pass on U.S. citizenship if the child is born in another country.
The judge has no authorized to grant U.S citizenship. There are three legal ways to get U.S citizenship:
    -Natural born.
-Born in a foreign countries with mother/father is a USC.
    -Naturalization.
In this case, the father can get the CRBA for the child then bring the child to the USA for a better future. However, it will be an hassle since the mother is the legal custody of the child right now.

After pay for the fee, you will receive a case number. After that person enters USA, they can use that for tracking the GC.

No, we're not in AP. It's a straight forward approve after a few questions. I'm notice that the blue/pink slip already stick on the top of the files while sitting behind my spouse. Before immigrate to USA, me and my spouse are best friend in high school, then become a couple when go to college in VN. I'm moved to USA with my family. After become US citizens, I'm back to VN to getting married, then CR1 visa, then done with USCIS on January of this year.
For this situation, I'm pretty sure it will resolve really quick.

It can be a combo interview, so please go with your spouse just in case. You don't need to call USCIS right now.

One I-864 for you, and another I-864 for join sponsor. However, I-864 only need at the NVC stage later after USCIS approve your petition then transfer it to NVC.

Since you're already divorced, you can file under 5 years rule. However, the big issue is when USCIS run a check and find out about that. In conclusion, you need to have a really good lawyer if you want to apply for citizenship.

Renew passport at US consulate is quicker, usually took 4-5 weeks. 10-13 weeks is the routine for people apply/renew their passport within the USA, so you have more than enough time.

You only count them as family size if they included in your household , so don't count your ex-wife.
