I have interview yesterday at USCIS Tuwila.
 
Interview time: 7:15 am, got called around 7:35am. It was done virtually with other local officer. Interview was straightforward and took about 30’. At the end they need my fringerprints refreshed and it would have taken 48 hrs so they advised me to go home. My form has “no decision” checked. I came home and around 7pm I received email with cased update that they approved my application and placed me in line for oath. It was unfortunate that no same day oath offered, howevet, I’m glad that it didn’t take long time to wait on approval decision
 
i will update again on oath ceremony.

Receive online notice for oath day scheduled. 4 weeks after interview day.

Informed Delivery showed me that my NOA is in the mail today! Woot woot! Now I can keep working, and renew my license! 😁

I just send my package this morning to PO Box AZ and expected to be delivered on Thursday  

Long story short: i told IO that my mom has issue with her heart, she couldn’t fly here to witness me getting married so we decided to have a ceremony in VN instead but we officially got married in US after coming here. That reason convinced her. She said “it made sense” 

And that didn't take long! Just received FOUR SMS at 1am saying our case status was updated. Just checked and the status is now New Card Is Being Produced#

Thanks for the continuation thread. As for the medical aspect. I was very worried about that but when we had our interview I saw he had all our K-1 papers including my medical there and all he asked me for was supporting evidence of our relationship.  Didn't even ask me for my vaccinations form or to get the flu shot which I thought they might due to the fact it was flu season. Course I had my interview 10 months after submitting the AOS. BTW the relief after you get the green card is amazing. I submitted a new I-9 form at work with my green card info and the site manager of my location congratulated me for getting it and said good cause we were not letting you go. lol Now I am looking to go back to school for computer engineering or cyber security. My job will pay for me to do it since it can benefit my job down the line as I would like to move into the IT department.
 
I hope everyone had a fabulous new year's. We went to a friends house and about 6 of us celebrated together with a finger food potluck and sparkling apple cider to ring in the new year while we played board and card games. Was so very nice. On the first my husband and I went to my good friend and coworkers house for a new years lunch of collard greens, black eyed peas and roast beef. OMG it was so good. My friend had gotten heck from her Mom and Grandma for not invited me and my husband to Christmas dinner. Her Mom wants to adopt me. ha I feel so much more at home now that work is going well and I am making my own friends. As an adult I am sure you know how tough it is to make friends. Tomorrow we are heading into Denver to visit another long time friend of mine from online and now a rl friend. Taking her a case of her favourite root beer and then out to lunch. She is giving me a dozen red and green tamales from a lady she knows. OMG best tamales I have ever had.

She then said “you come here with k1 visa right?” “If you want a big ceremony like that why don’t chose spouse visa in the 1st place?”, “what date is actually your wedding day?” To answer to these questions I had to tell her my situation that filing k1 seems faster for us to be together, my mom had a heart surgery this year so she cant fly to US and attend my wedding; so we all agreed to have “ceremony wedding” in my home country instead. Later she was convinced and said my decision made sense.

I guess system is more efficient now. I applied for ssn a day after my port of entry. I printed my I-94, brought my passport and birth certificate.

Oh that makes sense hahaha. I would say around 5-7 days ^^ you will receive a tracking number to track your package. 

Sorry for a late response, with my experience i sent to nvc email with subject line: ATT PI SUPERVISOR SUE . in the body: i give them my case # info, my DOB, my fincace DOB and WAC# 
Explain the situation and request for Embassy change. Hope you r be able to change it before they send the package to wrong Embassy 

I just want to share my update. I woke up with an email from USCIS stating they had taken action to my case. And it said they mailed my card. Also today I receive I-797 for approval notice.
I had my interview on April 23rd and it didn’t go too well. The IO gave me hard time regarding to an incident a friend of mine got into which I wasn’t there. In the end of the interview she kept pushing bout that incident and gave me a handout saying the interview was completed and they had 120 day period to take action. It was so frustrating. After 1 month frustration of waiting, finally I can get some relief. 
I-485 application:
PD date: 1/12/18
Interview date: 4/23/18
Approval date: 5/20/18
Expected card delivered date: 5/29/18.
No news of EAD or AP at this moment. 
I checked bout website dhs and myaccount uscis. My account uscis gave me tracking number of my card package
 

I had interview on April 23. Today I got email saying they mailed my card. So its about a month. I googled and sometimes it would take 2+ months. I know it’s frustrating but it will come.

For those who asked or were wondering about getting a new SS card, after the Green Card, with the married name and without the wording "DHS work authorization thingy", I went to the SS Office last Friday to request my new card and everything went well. The officer told me it'd arrive in 7 - 10 business days. Luckily, I checked my Informed Delivery this morning and I saw there was a letter coming from the SS Administration. And it was my new card! Now, I just need to change all my docs and get my DL! Yay!
