Hello all,

Just mailed i751 application today. We have a trip planned to Dominican Republic for March 07-14, 2020. 2 year Green card expires 3/29/2020. Does anyone think we will have problems with reentry?

Hello

I am going to send mine around the 19th February. Also the current I 751 can be used up until the 3rd of February, so I am just going to wait until they release the new edition.

Hello!

My window is going to open on Feb 8, and I was wondering when they will release the new edition. Sometimes they let you use an expired version if there isn't a new one available and I wonder if this will be case.

BTW, I could not find your thread yesterday and decided to create one today. lol then I was reading the Jan 2020 ROC filers and I saw about the thread you created. I hope the moderators can merge mine and yours since I can't delete mine. 🤞

You should be fine since your GC expires only in the end of March. If you get the extension letter before you go to the DR, take it with you just in case :)

Thank you. This was my exact thoughts as well. Hopefully the extension letter arrives quickly. Last night I checked for a new i751 and it’s still not updated this we used the available version that expired 12/31/19. Our application will arrive this week after the 3rd but has a February 1st postmark. Since the agency is still slow with uploading an updated form it would seem they would accept this form up until they provide a new version.

Hey everyone. We have a trip to India at the end of February. Is it safe to travel abroad as a conditional resident. My GC is valid until February 2021.

You will be fine. Plenty of time on greencard left. I think the real issues come if it’s expired or close to expiring. Have traveled several times with my husband as a CR.

I agree with Scienceteacher15! :)

left the country only once since I got my GC, but we didn't have any issues on the way back.

Yup! I'll be checking the USCIS website this week to see if they'll upload a new version and if not, I'll just send the 12/02/19 one.

Where do I find this? The USCIS website still has the one that says it expires on 12/31/2019 which is what I filled out. I'm all ready to mail in my application but now I'm not so sure.

Yeah, I don't think they updated the newest version so you should be fine with the 12/02/19 edition. If the new one isn't available by Sat, I'm sending my package with the 12/2/19 edition.

Since they haven't released the new edition,  I will be using the most recent one.

Uscis just updated their website (02/05/20) and now it says:

"12/02/19. We will publish a new version of this form soon. In the meantime, you may file using the 12/02/19 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."

and i just printed out the pictures. I read some people did the same and it was okay.
