  1. Then why did you post previously that you thought you were being scammed? Surely you did imagine it would happen.
  2. Key here is knowing whether she found out he was being 'detained' from CBP itself, or from the Nigerian fiance. If the latter, he's probably long gone from the Chicago area.
  3. You think green cards are only needed for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays?
  4. OP, I can see that you're actively reading this thread right now. Why have you not responded to any of the questions or comments? Have you confirmed that he is in fact being detained? Involving congress makes no sense - they are never going to interfere with CBP doing it's job. And the thing about London refusing him also makes no sense. They would return him to his country of citizenship.
  5. It's about the removal of existing civil rights. One Supreme Court decision being overturned could lead to others. I totally get OP's concern.
  6. I'm sure that if someone wishes to enter Germany with intentions that are outside the scope of their visa terms, they would have a similar experience to yorus.
  7. It is not subjective. It is based on LAW. "Lots of people"? I haven't seen that to be the case in the years I've been reading VJ. Unless your circumstances change markedly (i.e. you suddenly develop much stronger ties to home), the outcomes of subsequent interviews will not be different. And believe it or not, COs/CBP take notes and everything you have submitted or said are part of your record.
  8. Wow. You are really, really desperate to get to the US. Now even contemplating lying on a form?
  9. No. A lawyer cannot help, because you were rightly denied for immigrant intent. CO/CBP are required by US law to evaluate all applications for nonimmigrant visas/admissions through the lens of immigrant intent. Your ties to home were not strong enough to overcome that.
  10. No. Do the training remotely.
  11. Honestly, sounds like you think of her as a commodity that you are now displeased with. You feel you didn’t get your money’s worth. We reap what we sow.
  12. Then there was really no point in having the congressperson make an inquiry. The results are the same whether you do it, or he/she does.
  13. I thought that the designated consulate for K-1s was CJD, and that the Mexico City interviews were being offered on a temporary basis to ease the backlog. I may be wrong, but it could be that they discontinued that stop-gap.
  14. Are you outside of the USCIS published normal processing time?
  15. Wouldn't the 'doctor you used the first time' have been in your wife's home country?
  16. In general, your congressperson will get the same response as you would, when making an inquiry. When was the petition filed?
  17. No one here is in a position to tell you whether it will be issued.
  18. What would be the point of shelling out $5-10k for that? C. Cat's wife is here legally with no issues. Not worth $10k when it doesn't make you "more legal" or confer any additional rights whatsoever.
  19. Not sure why you think it is faster for those removing conditions from a GC obtained through a fiancee visa. Like I said, we fully expect to wait two years for ours, as that is how long it takes to process I-751s in Nebraska, regardless of the original visa type. Oh, and it's a good thing you didn't bring her over on a B visa to adjust status - that is FRAUD, and precisely why people are denied B visas.
  20. No one is required to change their name after marriage.
  21. Exactly. No need for family reunification. Pretty clear she has no intention to live in the US, and the plan is just to try to get green cards for the entire family.
