Today my mom’s expedition request was denied. This was submitted back in March… we are coming up on a year as August filers hope to see some results soon!

Hi all, I went to my n400 interview on Feb 10th. (My i751 was scheduled for an interview for feb 27th) I passed the civic and english test and I informed her that my spouse is here but she said he doesn’t need to come and went over my i751 with me and said she will need to adjudicate that first but that I was recommended for approval. Feb 12th, my i751 was approved and today I received my oath ceremony date. I am so happy that this process is finally over and I wish you all luck! 

Just got out of my interview. The officer was pretty kind and nice. My i750 is still pending but they didn’t even take my husband in the interview. She did the civics test, writing reading and asked me if I want to submit more evidence which i did. The only question she asked was if we got married in Turkey or in the US and she looked through our pics and gave couple compliments. Civics questions that I remember were; name 3 original colonies, who is the current VP? Who is over the executive branch? 
 
she gave me a notice saying she recommended me for approval and that I should hear very soon to come back for my ceremony.

Hi! Thank you and my biometrics show Dec 30th. I am still waiting on the interview letter to see when is it. I will definitely update if I get a combo interview or how it goes etc..

Well congratulations first of all! But they said they were going to schedule you for an interview but then without an interview you got your approval?

Yes, i filed march 30th 2019 and it was transferred from Texas to NBC on April 10th 2020. 2 days ago i filed for n400 and today they updated my i751 to be scheduled for an interview.

Just got an update after my case was  transferred to NBC. It is ready to be scheduled for an interview. I didnt get an interview for my conditional card.

We just bought a house closing in November. I provided the extension letter and it was no problem.

Awesome! I didnt think they would pick it up on the weekends.. I used credit card for the fee hopefully it works out with no issues  cant help but overthink when it comes to USCIS lol

Hi..i can give you my personal experience as an example. There is not a certain answer for this. I have been waiting for my EAD since Dec 5th! I received an Rfe Feb 28th and they received my response on March 30th. And because it was an initial evidence i was told that my processing time started over. Even tho in total i have been waiting over 190 days, they start from the day they receive the response. So if it was initial evidence count another 90 more days from the day they got your response.

You are absolutely right, it can happen everywhere and it is a fact that i got affected by social media a lot (seeing fights all over fb, news full of crimes etc..) thats why i call it a nonsense because it is not guaranteed that i wouldnt witness crime in the most world's safest place. I hve talked to him and he understood my fear because he knows how my life was back in my country. He suggested the same thing that we could take self defense classes. Currently he is stationed in Melbourne and i really loved in here people are so friendly and actually the crime rate is low in here. My fear is pretty prejudgemental based on what i see on social media and tvs.. I didnt get a chance to have friends and socialize yet that is why i wanted to post here and get some advice and so far it is really helping. Thank you!

I understand this feeling completely! And have had the same thoughts... "what was that noise" "what would I do if someone broke in when I'm alone" and so on... I accidentally flashed my headlights at a car on the road and I was like "omg, what if I pissed someone off and they have a gun"... lol I too realize it's ridiculous... and I shake my head and go "you're being dumb, stop!" Hahaha
I've thought about it and a MAJOR part of it is (at least for me) the lack of safety net and familiarity with procedures... I don't know who to call, what to do in each specific circumstance as I would know back home. Don't know what areas to avoid etc. This causes irrational fears for me... So.. part of it is educating ourselfs about our new home I suppose
I think the talk to an officer and self defense classes that were suggested are great ideas
