I wonder how many visas would be issued had people decided to give in to a "simple  human mistake?"

Waiting for the post from some poor USC who has no idea why their spouse goes on AP and then the case gets returned.   Shall we place bets on the country of this friend.
My advise for the friend is that he avoid marriage until his lower head is well trained enough to know where it wants to be.

Not sure why you expect people here to help out with an obvious fraud.

Shauneg got a reaction from April Mora in Rapid Visa??
I used rapid visa and they are meticulous. They will make sure your petition is overloaded with info. Yes, they charge a fee but I'm the Philippines they have an office by the embassy where my then fiancee got to stop in and they helped her organize everything....walked her through the process and generally made her incredibly at ease. That was worth the money in of itself. And though they can't guarantee a visa, they do give your money back if your visa is denied as long as you were forth right with everything and didn't lie about something.  All before I ever found this site, I don't regret it a bit though.

They don't care about people being understanding.  Their job is not to make you happy.  Their job is to protect the US.

Why would you think a divorce rewards you with a 10 year green card early?

I couldn't edit my last post anymore but the Huffington Post is such a liberal bleeding website. They are very anti Trump (all my liberal friends on Facebook like to share their political opinion through Huffington posts) and of course, Huffington Post likes to make it sound like immigrant are being mass deported instead of illegal immigrants are being mass deported. I have been reading the article and really, I'm not even worried about me nor other fellow legal immigrants. Just stay out of trouble, like felonies.

The IRS website. I'm surprised that someone who lives and works here didn't know that. Or know how to Google it for themselves.

Hello po. Yes, as they said before you will have to wait 5 years after divorce before you can file for someone. But before then you would successfully file for ROC with a divorce waiver. But when you file for your asawa expect to be heavily scrutinized because you divorced so soon, and they will think you did all this for immigration intent. Because with everything you have presented thus far it does look like that is why you got married.

No you cannot.  The 3 year path to citizenship is only available to you if you remain married to your husband.  Since you do not wish to remain married to him, and you wish to marry someone else and you intend to divorce him, you will have to wait five years like all other LPRs.

ROC is removal of conditions.  You currently have a conditional green card and you are a conditional resident.  Your Green Card will have an expiry date and it will be up to you to remove those conditions before that expiry date.

OP, this looks very suspect and it will look suspect to USCIS. It appears - on face value - that you used this man to get a Green Card.  Expect lots of scrutiny.

This whole situation just reeks of fraudulent activity to me, and I'm sure USCIS would feel exactly the same.

@Jha you cannot sponsor someone within 5 years of becoming a permanent resident, unless you have convincing evidence as to why you should. Additionally, you will need to file for ROC (Removal of Conditions) before your conditional green card expires, and at that you'll need to provide substantial evidence that you entered your CURRENT marriage in good faith — divorced or not.

@Jha: if you're truly unhappy with your husband and truly in love with your girlfriend, then end your marriage.

5 years apart from your girlfriend will be tough.  You're better off going back to your home country and living out your relationship with her there, or joining her in Hong Kong.  I'm assuming neither you or your girlfriend have family in the US, so why the need to stay here and bring her here?

I wish this was a troll post, but I really don't believe it is.  The timing is incredibly suspect.  USCIS will obviously see that as well.

I just know if things didn't work out with my USC husband, I'd head back to my family and friends.

Why stay somewhere that makes you unhappy where you have no support system?  Unless of course, this was your end game plan from day one.

Try and look at what you have written from the viewpoint of others.
You met and fell in love with a USC MAN, he filed the paperwork for a K1 visa, brought you to the US, married you and filed AOS all in a timely fashion.

Within the short time you have been in the US ( and it would appear only since you got your green card) your sexuality has changed and you have met and fallen in love with a same sex partner residing in Honk King and want to know if you can now bring them to be with you.

You have to admit that based on what you have written it appears you married purely for the green card.

I am hoping this is a troll post, if it's not then based on what has been posted by the OP my sympathies lie with her husband.

As we have seen deportations it seems that there are many stories out there that suggest are not telling the 'whole' story.  You have to ask yourself, why, are people who have been in the USA for years are married to USC spouses and have kids not already in possession of a green card.  Have not already filed for Adjustment of Status etc.?   Further, I wonder how someone who has overstayed a visa and (especially a tourist visa) managed to pay taxes without a social security number?  Or for that matter how they were employed without a social security number?   Sadly as good as the media can be I think the folks on this site know more and can do some sanity checking of what is being reported perhaps with a bias.
