So just because the husband is going to be away she has to be intimate with him?
Not taking no for an answer to the point where she gives in is nagging for it.

So she delayed sending the documents for K1, she didn't bother to come pick you up on time at the airport and she treats you like #######? I'm sorry but this woman doesn't love you.

How is it not a marriage visa? You and your wife proved to the embassy that you are a bona fide couple and they granted you the privilege to bring your wife to the US. They assumed you knew your wife well enough before you decided you wanted to spend the rest of your life together with her. It is not their fault that this happened. You proved bona fide relationship.
How long did you know her before you guys got married? How much time did you spend actually being with each other?

Mmm this doesn’t sound accurate (definitely one can get a waiver if needed and it is the doctor’s call), I am wondering if you are maybe not able to provide acceptable evidence from your own doctor of the adverse reaction. Not to cast aspersions on your history but it would need to be documented satisfactorily. We had a waiver for one of the vaccines on our medical (different reason), caused no issue at any stage of the process.

Unidentified reacted to Penguin_ie in Negative attitudes in the forum
I wanted to address the negative attitudes we have seen on the rise recently in the upper/ immigration forums towards those who ask beginner/ simple questions, or have unusually fast or slow VisaJourneys.

First, there is a tone difference between the Progress forums- which are mostly for support and cheerleading, and the Info forums, which are mostly to have questions answered.   While all our forums are supposed to be welcoming to all and friendly, this is especially important in the Progress forums, which are not to discuss politics, or be negative towards  those fortunate to have their case dealt with quickly, or  critical of those who voice sadness about their own slow progress. These forums are there to uplift eachother!

Secondly- in the info forums, you may get bad news.  When a question is asked, our members are encouraged to answer truthfully, even if this may not be what the Op wants to hear, because it is important to be informed.  However, the emphasis is still on being welcoming and friendly.  If you need to give bad news, do so gently, and stick to facts; constructive criticism of the Op's plans ARE allowed, but the emphasis is on constructive.  No need to dwell on mistakes (or tell members they should be on 90 Day Fiance- that is a personal attack and automatic suspension), or  illegal actions in the past- instead, encourage and explain legal options for the future.  And ONLY legal options- as per our TOS, VJ does not support, condone or encourage illegal (immigration) actions, and such posts will be removed.

Ultimately, we are here to help all members, old and new, easy cases and complicated, those who write a fact filled bullet point post and those who are panicking and don't make much sense in their first post. Yes, sometimes questions can be easily googled, or answered via a search of our forums.  But if you feel that way, just scroll past- no need to criticise the OP for asking the question.

Everyone makes their own personal choice and we shouldn't judge others because we would have done it differently. Maybe you wouldn't think it was necessary to travel home if one of your parents died but others would. And like I said, the whole point of the AP is for us to be able to travel.

Because happens and family get sick and pass away? Because people want to go back for weddings, births, funerals, holidays? That's the whole entire reason why they offer the AP. Plus people want to travel, go on honeymoon. Not everyone goes back to their home country.

I am glad you can laugh about it because most of us are not. Yes, CBP has final say. But if you're outside of the country and their an EO going out about AP's no longer being honored or something then you're pretty screwed. Like the first travel ban were Trump screwed up and it led to CBP not even admitting Green Card holders.

I think that unless you've done something stupid while trying to get into the US like trying to bring in drugs or something equally stupid you're fine.

But you should be aware that since you're being paroled into the country most likely you'll be put through secondary inspection. Don't know if that always happens with Advance Parole that you get with your AOS application. I came into the US on a Emergency Advance Parole I got during my AOS journey and CBP told me it was routine procedure for anyone being paroled into the country. It was no big deal at all, they pretty much just asked me why I had been granted an Emergency Advance Parole. It just took a lot of time (2+ hours) because they were busy but I wasn't surprised about it. I arrived during my airports equivalent to rush hour with an incredible amount of international flights arrive at the same time. Only ting that bugged me was not being able to contact my husband. Though he was fine too, getting through lots of episodes on something on Netflix at the cell phone lot...

No, that's why I want Joe Biden as the president of the United States of America because he has integrity and does actually care about his fellow citizens, who has a plan for the future and over 75,000,000 U.S Citizens that trust him to do the right thing for once and for all.

What I don't like is the sore loser currently grasping for straws through his corrupt Supreme Court with his newly appointed lackey Amy Coney Barrett who wants to dismantle Obamacare and will remove the right for women to have a choice in abortions. The one that appointed a new Postmaster General that had stocks in the USPS' rival company and had made donations to Trump's PAC for $600,000 and who ended up dismantling a prestigious institution. The one that paid $750 in taxes, the one that swore to have a vaccine for Election Day but failed to deliver, the one who swore that he had the COVID-19 pandemic under control but got rid of the CDC taskforce, the one who decided to stray away from science. The one who told the Proud Boys and all his racist cult to stand by and be ready.

The one who, through nepotism, placed his entire family into important White House positions. The one who uses the White House for his campaigns and breaks the Hatch Act every time. The one who has no standards, that bankrupted casinos and hotels. The one whose father was a white supremacist with KKK ties.

I could keep going, try me.

Trump is the most corrupt president ever, he takes money from Saudi Arabia and he put his kids in high positions to benefit financially. So glad to see him defeated, next is prison time for him.

Sorry I have been scarce lately as so many things have been going on with me. I found out I'm pregnant and my "morning sickness" has been terrible so sitting behind a laptop was not on my to-do list
FYI - I also unlocked the spreadsheet so happy editing!!!

I attended my interview yesterday and was approved! I arrived at 8:55am as my appointment was at 9:10am. There was a small line with social distancing outside the main entrance of the building. The officer looked through the door and motioned at each person to step up when the doorway was cleared. I was finally checked in at 9:11am and then had to sit in the main waiting area which had limited seating based on them blocking off 4 chairs with caution tape in each row. There were only 8 of us waiting.
After sitting for 2-3 mins, an officer came and called numbers. A lady who arrived after I did ended up getting called before me. It was a short wait as I was called after 5 mins.
I was led down a hallway by a very friendly official where we then got to his office and I was sworn in before sitting down, then the civics portion began.
    He asked:
    1. What are 2 parts of Congress?
    2. What is the supreme law of the land?
    3. What was Benjamin Franklin famous for?
    4. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?
    5. Why does the flag have 50 stars?
    6. What did Martin Luther King Jr. do?

Question to read off tablet - WHEN IS FLAG DAY?
Answer to write on the tablet - Flag Day is on June 14.

We then talked about my application, went through the yes and no portion, then he asked about my life in Trinidad, places I've lived, worked, etc. He really made the entire process feel so at ease and he eats Trini food so he started talking about that and I was very surprised that he knew about a lot of our dishes
At the end of the interview he checked off items on a paper, told me that I passed and he was recommending my approval and then said that they are no longer scheduling persons for future oath ceremonies (which made me nervous) but then he followed up by explaining that oath ceremonies are being done on the same day as the interview once the candidate passes! He thanked me for swapping recipes lol and then he led me to the main ceremony room to await another officer who would be bringing out the certs.
In that room was the same 8 persons from earlier and then a young woman came in with our certs and explained to review it carefully for any errors that could be fixed then and there because once we step outside of the building and see an error, then we would have to pay the same fee to get the cert replaced. She said once everything was accurate we could leave or stay and have pictures taken in the room. Only 3 of us stayed back to take pics because that was a memorable day to NOT take at least 1 photo! 📸
I left at 10:40am so not bad for the time spent there.
