    Ditch the guy.
I'm sorry (not really), but not only is he controlling but he is also putting your unborn child in danger. You are high-risk and the fact that he is suggesting you come next week is unacceptable.
Put yourself first and take care of yourself

    Eh.

Personally, I think you should have a relationship with her son regardless if he's your son or not.

I'm sure the CO's believe the same, they probably feel that since your relationship to her son isn't very good (and this is from your own words), that she's just using you for a green card.

At this point you might as well get married but.. still.

If you're going to bring the kid into this country, then it is about him. He's the most important person in this, he's just a kid getting dragged along and you don't seem to see past your fiance to realize that.
I can kind of see where the CO's coming from. =/

If you want to get even more simpler, the kid is also going for a green card and you know nothing about him yet you'll be his sponsor, of course you'd be denied. They're a packaged deal, if you want JUST your fiance, then.. I guess.... don't apply for the kid too but.. still. All of this seems awful.

If the CO asked my fiance anything about my daughter he could tell them more than her own father could. Birthday, times and days she goes to speech therapy, autism related calming methods for her, what grade she's in at school, the name of her teacher, foods and things she likes, and an explaination of her disability, as she's autistic and is more so like a 3-4 year old than an almost 7 year old. Her birthday presents, and the favorite things we all like to do together. I can't really think of a question he couldn't answer.

It doesn't matter what the consular officer told you. You went against the published advice given by the U.S. Embassy. Do not make any plans until you have the visa in hand. You did not jump the gun by a bit. You jumped the gun period. You went against what the U.S. Embassy told you not to do . . . Make nonrefundable travel plans without a visa.

    Hi,
There is nothing to complain about.
You jumped the gun by buying tickets without a visa in hand. The U.S. Embassy advises against making any travel plans without a visa in hand. The U.S. Government views any losses from making plans without a visa is on you.
Furthermore, a foreigner does not have a right to a visitor visa. The U.S. Embassy has absolute power to deny a visitor visa, and the denial can not be appealed.
    Sorry

I try to ground myself during this whole ordeal by telling myself that this will all be over soon enough. Think of it this way: this stretch of time that you and your husband are living apart and dealing with the whole immigration process, when all is said and done, will make up such a small amount of time compared to your whole relationship and the rest of your lives together. This will soon become a distant memory!
Trust me, as much as it hurts, you will get through this Focus on the positives, keep yourself busy, get through the paperwork quickly and efficiently, and most importantly, BREATHE.

It's only been 2 and a half weeks since you got your CC. Many people haven't gotten an interview date yet and got their CC months ago. It really depends on the consulate, so you can't blame NVC for that. Patience is a virtue, and it will all be worth it in the end.

From what I understand about the K1 they don't send the reasons for not getting the visa like they do with people who are married. I am over 20 years older than my husband and we have been married 6 years but I spent over 4 years trying to bring him here from Pakistan. 2 weeks was not enough face time and even if you had spent more time with him like several months to a year the CO could have still found a reason to deny.
I suggest you go back to Jamaica and spend more time together before you spend additional time and money on your case. Take pics with his parents and other family members to send with your new petition. Try to relax and understand that you are in for a hard battle with the embassy and learn to put each other first and the embassy second. I married my husband after 3 trips to Pakistan because I knew the embassy would have to take our case more seriously. We never gave up and the day my husband picked up his passport with the visa in it was such a happy day for both of us. My email address is in my profile you are welcome to private message me with any questions.
Our case was more complicated than yours so don't let the 4 year wait scare you. Also grow a thick skin because even when he gets to America there will be those upset that you married such a younger man even though males marry younger women all the time.

I rarely comment on this sort of thing, but here's my $0.02 on the matter. I don't know the groom personally (though I do know some people from Ely).
    - It's common folk knowledge that one acquires automatic citizenship upon marriage to a USC. The fact that this isn't really true isn't very well known, and one needs to be a specific type of person to want to research this and seek out any problems. If not for my inherently cynical and skeptical nature, I would have never discovered this site or done some research into all the 'worst case' scenarios. A newly returned LDS missionary hardly has this kind of outlook. People are constantly in shock when either me or my fiancee tell them about the K1 process (-- even more counter intuitive; one would assume marriage would hold stronger evidence of a genuine relationship that being engaged).
    - This hardly sounds like the case of deliberate fraud. There's no huge age gap in age, culture, or financial background between the bride and groom. They both speak the same language (he speaks Russian) and share the same religious background (which is fairly ingrained into their lifestyle).
Unfortunately this sounds like two young, doe-eyed love bugs whose only crime was that they believed in fairy tales. The movies never tell you about the USCIS and the excruciatingly painful process involved to bring a foreign spouse/fiancee into the US. I'm not saying they should be able to skip the entire immigration process (it's there for a reason), but they do have my sympathies.

Using your logic, the billions of people who want to be US citizens would be here tomorrow.
There are also plenty of criminals and terrorists who under your logic would choose to be US citizens so they can come here to do harm.
There is a reason we screen people when they ask to immigrate to the U.S. and when they seek to be US citizens.

My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you here on Visa Journey. I think we all deserve badges or t-shirts that say "I survived the immigration process". When we think back to when we decided we would take on this task of immigration on our own we have to laugh at how uninformed we were in the entire process. The in's and out's of the system. How to get through with the least amount of problems. How to put a proper package together so you don't get an RFE. Well I can say without a doubt we could not have been as successful as we were without the help of the experienced members that walked that road before us.
Saylin - The CR1 Queen. Your guide was magnificent! It was 100% spot on correct in every aspect. I learned how to be the squeakiest wheel and how to hold my ground when calling the NVC over and over and over nightly till I got through. I think they finally just got sick of me calling. I learned how to be proactive and bypass problems all because you taught us in your guide. It's a must read for any new VJer's hopping onto the CR1 path. I must say our package we put together because of your advice had to be the most beautiful of all packages thanks to you. Thank you for commitment to this site.
Dwheels76 - You tireless spreadsheeter you! Thank you for keeping that all up to date so we could follow along with others to see how our cases was doing with similar timeframes. Thank you for always answering the same questions over and over when someone new popped into your thread not knowing what to do next.
Nich-Nick - Who reigns over the UK portal with all of her knowledge as to how to make your way through London. She is equally knowledgeably in both K1 and CR1 process. The regional thread would be lost without you there. Thank you for your commitment as well.
T-Bone - I just love monkeys! Who doesn't love a monkey wearing lipstick? So your profile picture wins you a thank you on here for making me smile and for helping to keep our manners in tact. Sometimes we forget them, including myself at times. Thank you for keeping it amusing and real. It was always fun to get in before the the lock!
And for all our fellow VJer's also going through this journey with us regardless if you were a CR1 or K1... Thank you too. For all the support and advice and laughs. We wish you all a speedy end to your journey as well and your future after. Best of luck to everyone. We'll never forget you!

    1. Why didn't you ask who the woman was who came to the airport? Doesn't that seem logical to ask? Perhaps she is actually your fiance's wife and that is really his daughter.
    2. It is hard for me to believe that a young child was allowed to accompany a totally unrelated person to the U.S. without the U.S. asking questions about this child. Considering the concerns about international abduction, it is hard for me to believe that the U.S. would just allow a child to travel here without the permission of both parents. I know that it is required to have parental permission to leave the U.S. as well. https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/268/~/children---child-traveling-with-one-parent-or-someone-who-is-not-a-parent-or
    3. What I understand is as long as the child has living parents, you can not adopt that child to immigrate to the U.S.
    4. It is asking a lot of a person to take their child to another country and be responsible for that child. They seem to have taken advantage of your compromised emotions and good will.
    5. Considering that the child has a parent in the U.S., the U.S. would give additional scrutiny to a child coming here and possibly trying to immigrate, I would think.

OP, consider this post/thread and your other as an introductory course in family based US immigration. Now you will need to major in high fraud countries as your fiance is from what is considered the number 1 visa fraud country. So regardless of his character, he (and you) will have to prove convincingly that your relationship is bona fide.
Your assumption about staying 6 months is wrong. A jobless, single male from a poor country will not be given such a long stay. And it is very likely that he cannot obtain a visitor visa. And that visa would not allow him to work in the US.
Not having enough money to meet in person is not an acceptable reason for not meeting. The immigration process is expensive. If you can't afford it now, wait until a time when you can afford it.
Some hostility toward your religious group in his country is not a reason to exempt you from the meeting in person requirement. If you do some reading here on VJ you will find many people who have had similar issues that were not held as compelling reasons. Meeting in another country is an option.
You've heard a lot of information that you do not like. But the preponderance of opinions are the same. Take that feedback seriously as you revise your plans.
Best of luck in your journey.
