  1. when they say "Latin", they mean using "Latin" alphabet. English and French use Latin alphabet. For the consulate ID number, leave it blank. They will add it to their database because you are sending them the fee and the application for the Consulate ID card.
  2. For the postage, you can to the post office and ask for an overnight envelope and stamp. It costs around 24 to 30 dollars (flat rate express). It comes with tracking, and is valid until it's used. The six weeks is for processing in Morocco. You want the passport shipped back to you as soon as it is received at the consulate. Express overnight it the only service I would trust with a sensitive document like that.
  3. If he is traveling with the Royal Air Maroc direct from the USA to Casablanca, there will be no issues with an expired Moroccan passport. He will not even need to present his green card during check-in. to be on the safe side, I would recommend to contact the airline e directly and get clarification from them directly. I would not go with what people say. Get your info from the airline directly.
  4. I have been emailing the same email address weekly with no result at all for the last 8 months. i will try the phone numbers next week since they are off Thursday and Friday. thank you for your support ill keep you posted if anything changes
  5. Thank you so much for the positive vibes. we are still in AP hoping for a positive outcome soon Ya rab
  6. @Jeanne Adil you are mixing Moroccan traditions with Egyptian traditions. Family presence at the wedding is a big cultural thing in all MENA countries: it means families are ok with and are blessing the wedding, which is a big deal. Not having the families at the wedding is a big red flag, especially if strangers were present. Marriages like Utah marriages and Vegas weddings are not socially acceptable in MENA countries.
  7. Hello there, I am so sorry your case is stuck at USCIS. Processing time at USCIS cannot be predicted at all and there is no clarity into it. NVC processing is all up to the applicant and petitioner to provide the required documents timely, and it can go fast. Once at NVC stage, it is always advised to provide all the supporting documents, including chat transcripts, photos and anything you think can help your case. The Consular Officers like to review things before the interview, and they might not have time to review any new evidence during the interview. Keep in mind that all cases are different We had our I-130 approved in 70 days, a record time, back in November 2021 NVC took a long time because processing was taking three months to review documents because of covid backlog. We got DQ in February 2022 (4 months at NVC). My wife had her interview 17-May-2022, second interview on February 2023, and the case is still under AP, over a year after initial interview This immigration process is denting, and it takes a lot of time, energy, and will to get through it. In some cases, it is a real test to the strength of the relationship
  8. Just wait until you get a curve ball from NVC or the Consulate and see who you gonna turn to for help. this community is providing support and free great help and advice, at least show some respect, not appreciation, just respect to fellow VJ members. i don’t wish ill on anybody, this kind of attitudes just make me sick
  9. If the only dependents are the ones you listed, the brother is more than qualified to sponsor as a joint sponsor.
  10. Just FYI, and not to get carried away: Our I-130 was approved in 70 days (back in November 2021), fast forward to today 14-June-2023, we are still under AP at the Casablanca consulate. Interview was 17-May-2022. Processing time of I-130 has no correlation with NVC processing and visa approval. All cases are different, but again, just not get carried away
  11. Congratulations As everyone else said, WAIT and make sure you enter after the two-year anniversary, give it a week or two after the two-week anniversary before POE, just to be on the side and avoid any miscalculation
  12. If the CO takes time to look at every applicant's "brought documents", they will not be able to accommodate the large number of applicants they deal with on a daily basis. It is always necessary to provide all required and necessary documents are the NVC stage so that the CO can see them before the interview.
  13. No wet signature for online I-130. You will be prompted to enter your name and date as a digital signature before you hit the submit button Good luck
  14. The worst part is the lack of communication from the consulate once the schedule is moved. I hope they reschedule those people quickly. I know the feeling of not knowing what's going on I really feel bad for those applicants. knowing that some of them came from different parts of the country, with very limited resources for any accommodations
  15. Oh my God! That is crazy! Were they given any reasons for the cancelation?
  16. You mentioned that you uploaded your divorce decree: Knowing the Casablanca Consulate, be prepared with your original marriage certificate also if you were married in Morocco before. Casablanca CO will ask for it. I would say to upload it with the NVC documents so they have access to it before the interview.
  17. The only thing the congressman’s office is able to do is send congressional inquiries. We are at the fourth inquiry right now. The only answer we get is that the case is still under administrative processing, and that they will contact my wife when it is completed.
  18. Thank you so much for following up. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for an answer after the second interview. Lots of date changes on the "Case Last Updated" in April and May, but no significant change. The Case status still shows Ready, with no signs of progress Frustrated but there is nothing we can do at this point, we just have to wait it out. It has been more than a year since the initial interview 😞 Hope things are moving well for you
  19. They stopped responding after a couple of emails They called my wife for a second interview on 21-Feb-2023 for a second interview and still no meaningful update Our only contact with them now is the congressional inquiries, they always respond as the case is still undergoing administrative processing
