  1. Hello, I'm a USC and my husband is Moroccan. We've been approved by USCIS and Documentarily Qualified by NVC on September 19, 2023. I see that the wait times for an interview are fluctuating and the NVC notified me through their public enquiry that they can't determine or guesstimate approximately how long until an interview letter is issued by the US Embassy of Casablanca, Morocco but I read on this forum that it's about 4-6 months. Is that correct? I should expect to receive the IL in March 2024? I was wondering if that approximation is correct, and I'm considering to search for a US embassy that has shorter wait times for an interview. Did anyone have an experience transferring a case from Morocco?
  2. Hello! This question is specifically targeted to my fellow MOROCCAN spouses and US citizens who are undergoing the IR1/CR1 Visa Processing. What has your timeline been like and where in the stage are you at? I filed the I-130 on September 24, 2022 (09/24/2022) and got my "case is actively being reviewed by USCIS" on September 30, 2022 (09/30/2022), and since then nothing, not a peep. According to my case tracker I'm at 258 days and still going. On the processing time tab of the USCIS website it stated that I had 1 week left until approval/denial but it's been 2 weeks now without a response, it just states: "Estimated time until case decision: Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time.". I talked to a live agent yesterday and they recommend I put in an e-request of abnormal processing times of my case but when I attempted to do so it said I can't file an e-request until April 24, 2024. I know the tracker isn't always accurate but it's good to have an idea of how much longer you have to wait but now I don't even have that lifeline. I'm at wits end, I don't know what to do! 3atkounie! I really hope I'm not waiting another 10 months until my I-130 gets approved. I know that USCIS agents are understaffed and that more complicated cases create a bottleneck for easier simpler cases but the whole process is frustrating. I have all necessary documents, plenty of supporting evidence of a bona fide marriage, lived with my spouse in Morocco for over 6 months, travelled abroad to Turkey with them, filed taxes with his information on it, no age gap, no children, no previous marriages, affidavits from loved ones, receipts of hotels, activities, transportation, money transfers. I don't know what else to add.
  3. Hello, I was wondering if Direct Consular Filing is available in Morocco? I am a US citizen, newly wedded with my Moroccan husband residing in Casablanca, currently undergoing the process of obtaining carte sejour. I intend to live in Morocco with my husband until a green card is issued. How do I go about the process for filing a DCF? How do I go about filing petitions outside of the US? Thank you for your time, Salima
