    Here we are a week (or so) before the interview. We got lucky as we were able to secure an appointment for our medical just before the interview. Thanks so much to a cancelation and the call back from the doctor's office. All is well. My trip to Morocco is scheduled for the weekend to be with her for the interview and hopefully come back home together. I'll keep this thread updated as we progress.

    your file now is with the consulate or embassy and they will look at the paperwork you submitted during the interview. You will not receive a DQ email from NVC as the file is no longer with them. Good luck with the interview

    As @M.Knaebel mentioned, the clock starts ticking after you submit your last documents on the ceac portal, not when you case is created. It would us if you updated your timeline with submission dates 🙂

    NVC assigns case numbers for K1 applications and forwards them directly to the Consulates where the rest of the processing takes place. But NVC does assign a case number to the K1

    you will need to be prepared with a joint sponsor: The joint sponsor will need to fill out for I-864 and provide tax transcripts and may be W2s (If they filled taxes as MFJ) NVC accepted your AoS with the 2020 tax transcripts. The CO during the interview is who decides, and they will most likely ask for updated forms.

    you should use the same translation service you will use for the document to be submitted to Consulate during the interview. Remember that the consulate requires the same exact documents and translations uploaded to the ceac website. Each consulate has a list of approved translators
