Umka36 got a reaction from Mithmeoi in cultural differences
My wife told me that some of her friends think all American's make $15k/month.

Umka36 got a reaction from Unidentified in President Trump signs order to stop family separations
There are times I feel I don't want to be the parent of my kids. I remind my wife, how stupid we look arguing with a 3 year old. Just like with a spouse, you learn to pick fights you can win as you'll never win them all.

Please ignore my ignorance in all this, but is it true that families who wait in line at the border crossing in order to enter the US and file an asylum as kept together?
And the only folks who are actually running into trouble are the families who just jump the border and then asking for asylum? If that's the case, aren't they just "jumping" the line while others painfully wait at the border crossing for their turn?

I personally would just take the payment plan option (typically they will charge less as you are paying out of pocket), and pay the minimum until you're able to work.
Unfortunately accidents can happen anywhere/anytime during the most unforeseen time. My kids are a testament of this.

I only provided the most recent one, so for you 2017.

Current income matters. Beyond the paystubs, can you get a employment letter from your employer? That's what I did.

People probably do this when they fear of being attacked, so it's "friend/someone" to remain anonymous.

And it's not scripted.

Umka36 got a reaction from geowrian in When can the alien fiance bring his/her mother to the US after K-1 was approved?
Healthcare cost is an important factor to think about before bringing anyone to the US, and not just for parents.
It's a public form, you just have to learn to ignore advice you don't like or /report if it's against the TOS. OP, you may want to ask an admin to close this from further posting if you got your answers.

I'm sure you wife isn't going to waiting over a decade or more for her Citizenship. The US has a shortage of medical doctors, it's a win-win for both sides.

Umka36 got a reaction from rrobin0609 in K1 Filers: How long did you wait before getting engaged? How long did you wait before filing?
My wife and I were introduced back in October 2009 by a colleague at work. The first trip I went to see her was in April 2010 for two weeks. I took another trip in August 2010 for a month in which I proposed. I filed the I-129F in September 2010 was approved in April 2011. We delayed the process in order for her to finish up her teaching job, and was able to get the interviewed scheduled in August.
I visited her a few more times lasting between 2-4 week. One between X-mas/New Years, then in June 2011 for my birthday, and finally a month long trip in August 2011 for her interview/wrapping up personally business before her trip to the US. Married in September 2011 and filed AOS soon after.

Umka36 got a reaction from Asia in Marriage fraud? Need advice on what to do next.
Once divorced, the ROC with a divorce waiver is all on her. You are not involved unless you volunteer to provide her the financial documents to prove marriage was in good faith (I'm assuming you're not going to help). If she has none or runs into issues, well that's her problem and not yours.

Worked for a few doctors/PA back in the days who went through the military path to pay for medical school.
