Just thought I'd share my experience of my AOS Interview at the USCIS office in Latham, NY.
 
Our appointment was at 08:15 in the morning - doors opened at 08:05. My wife and I were directed to check in at a window. He asked me what I was there for, and I showed him my appointment letter. He then asked for my EAD card and verified my name and address.
I was then asked to provide my two index fingers to take fingerprints.
 
Once the check-in was over, we were directed to a small waiting area adjacent to the check-in window. We were standing there for about 30 seconds and then the interviewing officer came over and called out our names. We were then led to his office in the back and asked to remain standing and to swear that all the information we were giving was true.
 
After that, the interviewing officer went through the application and asked me to verify my name, my wife's name, our dates of birth, places of birth, my parent's dates and places of birth. Our lawyer then gave him an affidavit of support for our joint sponsor. The interviewing officer flipped through it and looked at the tax transcripts to verify that her income was sufficient.
 
I also handed over extended evidence including:
Photos Notarized Affidavits from family and friends Bank statements Credit card authorized user letters  
After that, he mentioned that he had read through the file and that everything was in order - took a quick glance over the bank statements, and approved us on the spot. We weren't asked any further questions about how we met, etc.
 
All in all, we were probably in there for about 15 minutes and after we walked out, I received the email notification that my case had been approved and then switched over to Post Decision Activity.
 
It's now the 25th and I have the approval letter from USCIS and now I'm just waiting on the green card to be produced and mailed to me.

Hi! No I dont mind you asking. Yes indeed do file your EAD and your AP with your AOS. Its free to do so. My husband got his combo card in December. Took about 5 months from time we filed for the card to come. 

Just wanted to let everyone know that my fiance had her interview today and was approved! The interview was around five minutes long, and the questions were pretty standard. 

Fiance(e)  had her interview today and got approved! She said it was a long wait at the USEM. She was there for 3 hours or more. Her and the CO had a small talk before the interview, which helped her relaxed. The actual interview was very casual. CO only asked a few questions. It was very quick and straightforward like many have experienced. 
 
Next is wait for the visa to be issued and do the CFO seminar.
 
I just want to thank everyone for being so helpful here, especially Greenbaum and Hank!

Got the passport back today with visa stamped after 447 days long wait  what a relief - time to start a total new chapter of life

My fiance said it went really smooth and all the questions were common sense. 
He was able to get out the MLC Center within an hour, he mentioned how the receptionists were super nice but his officer was a bit intimidating but only asked a few questions lasting about 5-10 mins!
 
Since I am a full time student and full time bartender I was worried about income requirements and supplied enormous amounts of evidence but they didn't ask once! 

My fiance had her interview at the USA embassy Kyiv yesterday 01.23.2020 and today 01.24.2020 visa issued.

For example single Moms/Dads raising kids with no support often qualify for a tax break as Head of Household that single filing doesn’t have.

Head of Household.........specific conditions must be met for it.

Wonderful!  You both must feel great!

What I'm trying to say is always be prepare and if possible take more than what they ask. It won't hurt.....

We did two
I signed 1 and my fiance signed 1... total 2

You should be fine with most recent months or weeks chats 
That's what we used and we had no issues

Hey guys! just some words of encouragement... 
 
I had my visa interview this morning and i was approved. 
 
I was definitely way more anxious/stressed than I needed to be. Just be over prepared making sure you have all the requested documents. Everyone was nice, some more talkative than others... The actual interview portion is a very informal conversation.
